This is really good. All sorts of insights wrapped up in this. The Wizards would not be able to resist messing with his deal in spite of his wishes, because they view being unable to use their powers as akin to missing a limb. Edward would never risk the deal to go to Hogwarts if he even suspected something like that could happen, to hell with Mustang's orders.
