This asshole refused to let RWBY's investigation and still have the nerve to blame Yang for what had happened? Seriously though if anything Yang would have punched him on the face a few chapters back.

Yeah, the last time you steer something you literally set the vehicle on fire, I think Weiss had a point.

Awesome story so far, really like this whole grim rats storyline. Especially like how you're using grim creatures that aren't mentioned in the show, and im also really liking this original storyline you've just branched into. I know you're currently working on catnip but i hope this gets some love soon too.

I really like this dust infusion idea. Have always felt that the maidens needed some sort of checks and balances, and regular people being able to reach that level wifh dust infusion, even with consequences, is a great idea.

Knew it would end up like this, honestly a little bit disappointed. Weiss being from the militaristic country Atlas, and Blake being a former high ranking member of a formal terrorist organization, would both understand that directly disobeying orders showed a clear lack of trust and respect for Ruby.

Felt like the last few chapters had some great potential for some real character strife and growth, but it feels like it was just kinda glossed over. I think Weiss should have been much, much more incensed over the disrespect shown to her partner and team lead, and her not tearing Blake a new one, but simply settling for a basic apology is a bit out of character.

Especially considering they left Ruby and Weiss in a huge danger zone while Weiss was clearly not recovered or combat ready. If the Grimm had come back the day or two after Blake and Yang left, it's probable that Ruby and/ or Weiss would have died.

Not a fan of angst, but i feel like Ruby and Weiss had very justifiable reasons to be very mad, and it just didn't come across.

Well, Weiss seems to have made a miraculous recovery after being useless for a week. One would think that having to treck through the wilderness for a week while she was still recovering would have continued slowing said recovery, but i guess they *were* using a sled. Maybe she just slept the entire time.

Anyway, agree with Weiss. Ruby definitely was too soft on em. Hopefully the next chapter or two rectifies that.

Ruby's pretty laid back as far as team leaders go, but i think its pretty telling that the first time she gives an order when her team is in a super shitty situation, Blake refuses to trust her and immediately deserts the team. Sure she's doing it with best intentions and all, but damn, even Ruby who is super kind and forgiving deserves to be pissed as hell about this. I cant see you guys writing any real permanent conflict between the team, but im finding myself wishing thats how it would turn out.

This is certainly the worst (or second to worst) situation theyve found themselves in in the Grim Rats timeline (and anything that took before that in cannon), and its the first real no good options moment, and Blake is straight up saying her team leader is incompetent and incapable of making a good decision when it matters.

Feel like best friends or no, Ruby wouldnt want to be on the same team as Blake after this. At the very least, would make things super interesting.

Ohhhmygoddd that was Good. ESPECIALLY the moment w/ blake cause I Did Not see that coming. I've been following this fic since I was 15 and now I'm getting ready to go to college, so I'm super happy to see this fic isn't dead. Keep up the good work yall!
