Author, I know you wrote this a long time ago, and I’m going to be as delicate as I can be with this. I can tell that this story is a way for you to cope with your own emotions, the inner monologue is too real to be otherwise. And it’s not bad to right a character with mental illness, on the contrary, it’s a great way to make an interesting character. But you’ve fallen into a trap. You’ve forgotten to make the character LIKABLE. You’ve made the character one dimensional by focusing ONLY on her mental illness. It would be one thing if Irene were mistaken about the way she thinks of herself, as most people are, and silently suffers her trauma and degrades herself. You could have Built up her relationship with the others, really hit home how important she is to the group despite her thoughts, and had a wonderfully tragic moment when her companions discover their comrade’s self depreciating delusions and are horrified by it. But instead you’ve chosen to make her exactly the thing she fears she is, an overly dependent, burdensome, useless protagonist. Right now when others comfort her, it just feels empty. The most interesting thing she’s done so far is heal those sick people, because that is the first time she has shown any agency in this story, action rather than reaction. But instead of focusing on that you went straight back to the misery porn. Now, you can still turn it around for Irene, by having her realize that she actually IS capable of action, and start striving to overcome her feelings about herself. Start the healing process. I’ve definitely been there, wrote a story I liked at first, lost inspiration, and came back to it and hated it. I do hope you can come back to this story later. I think you have something really sweet and good here. But definitely do what you need to to stay healthy. We enjoyed this story, and we’re happy to see a close to it. I'm so sad that the story won't be continuing, but its better then forcing yourself and writing something you don't feel good about anymore or care about. You need to take care of yourself before anything else, if you do rewrite it. I'll be there to read. :)

Don't worry! this story was amazing precisely because you were passionate, if you don't feel that anymore then you shouldn't force yourself. I really loved it and I can tell you did too, but if you don't feel that way anymore I would hate to see yourself forcing it in order to please us. Thank you for explaining it 3

This definitely explained a lot and I feel so bad for commenting that her mind process was annoying at first due to her constantly going from being okay and making progress to where she began, but now I see that she can't help it. She has a serious mental problem and has other factors (like being transported to another world and her connection to the yellow dragon) piled on top of it. I saw in the first chapter that she thinks very lowly of herself mainly due to other peoples influence especially her father's (him being the one who said she would be useless to people if she didn't get her emotions under control). I hope she comes to realize that there are people who genuinely care for her and Shin-Ah being the main one (I also hope she sees that they both rely on each other and not just her relying on Shin-Ah). Their relationship is just too cute.

I hope that this story isn't dead or on hiatus because I really love it.

I read this before but you only had twelve chapters posted. I just got back into the fandom and reread this(I was very excited to see so many more chapters). I love how you express Irene’s thoughts and how you add shin-ah’s thoughts and feelings in. I can’t wait to see them reconcile! Oh, I also thought how you tackled the more embarrassing moments was pretty spot on
