Have you considered submitting this and the sequel as a script? On my second read through both and still love the story.

Eh, this is very well written, and the way you expand upon the storyline is very fitting to the overall tone...but you're really messing with the characters' personalities. Suddenly Max isn't a shy wallflower, but an outspoken go-getter? Suddenly Victoria shows compassion? And Frank is now a rapist, while Warren...you take the only redeemable guy and twist his character to make him vile and unlikeable? Just can't do it. : /

I'm only about half way through but this is amazing. Easy in my top 10 fanfics ever. I love the way you add on to the story and flesh out the characters. Usually when authors change perspectives to side characters I get frustrated and skip over it but you have done an amazing job of it. My only issue is with Frank being all rapey, especially after Before the Storm, I kind of like him as a character so the change is a little wrong to me. But still an amazing adaptation. I kind of hope that Dontnod get you to revise it and publish it as

Hello! What better way to wait out the time between episodes of Before the Storm than reading LiS fanfic? Even if I'm a little behind on this one.

I like the idea of adding more to scenes, and you did a good job of keeping the lecture tone of the scene, but it could have used more of Max lingering on what she had just experienced. Even if she dismissed it as just a dream, it would have stayed in her thoughts some and distracted her from class.

I'll just keep reading along!

Not fond of how frank is portrayed. I don't remember him being a pervert. Just a pretend bad ass.

One thing that always got me was the first time she time travels she ends up back in class. But every time after she stays in place and the world goes backwards. Also no one seems to ever notice her just appearing in front of them after rewinding.

It's an interesting story so far and I do love how you fleshed out some of the dialogue. However, I don't really like the way you portrayed Warren as a self-centered tool. I didn't really get that impression of him from the game.

Disturbingly fascinated with Max, a bit of a stalker, and a little bit oblivious to the feelings of others yes. But I didn't get the impression as him being the kind of guy to potentially date multiple woman at a time, nor express a lack of empathy toward Kate's situation. Just feels like even the oblivious Warren could tell something was wrong.

It's not really a criticism, just stating my opinion.

I always thought that the whole time-travel 'bidness' wasn't really ever explained very well. That's okay though, it's not what the story was about.
