I wasn't quite certain what I expected from this fic when I decided to read it on a whim, but now I'm super glad that I did, because it's actually really great? It's really well written and I've got to say that I absolutely adore it. So good job!

this reminded me of a fanfic I read where they're having a reunion but the Organisation gets there first and...well...they see their parents' bodies. Soooo depressing!

I really, really love Hattori-Kaito interactions, but there are so very few well-written fics that I have found centered around it, so I'm really, really glad that this exists! I absolutely loved the story, from the way it flowed to the characters. And Heizo's death also teared me up a little, which is pretty amazing, since I never cry. All in all, a fantastic story, and I hope you keep writing!

This was absolutely gut-wrenching but also beautiful. I love the way you set it up, I love the way everything ended up coming full circle, and I just generally can't get over how well you've managed to capture all the characters. The details in the descriptions-from the kakigouri to the more grisly bits-really brought everything to life, too. Also, I was really excited to see interaction between Kaito and Heiji that wasn't mediated by Shinichi, because that isn't too common in fic. Overall, this was just lovely, and I really enjoyed it, even if it did also make me sad.

I really like the idea of Heiji and Kaito interacting with each other so of course I liked that story : )
Having the two mirroring the same situation was extremly touching and, while it hurts to see a sad Heiji or a sad Kaito, well, damn, they had quite the good reason to and I appreciated the way you described it !
