I hope that Pema ends up having earthbending heritage (hence, her green eyes), so Rohan can be an earthbender, and Lin can train him! Just my wishful thinking :3

I can't help but think Tenzin wouldn't mind much, and if he did, Lin would only exterior re-decorate Air Temple Island again.

Hell, I think a roll with Lin would appeal to Pema, if for nothing else, the fact that she couldn't get pregnant.
