I hate it when girls do that as well. Especially small ones. I just want to shake them and say, "Don't start now!" So I was not very sympathetic towards them :)

This is a really true to snape characterization. He's such a spiteful person towards children, but there's something understandably angsy about him even if he takes his hate out on the completely wrong people
