This was alright. Written well enough, though at 617 words it's *very* much on the short side. Only thing is, this shows Campion making his way to Texas just like he did in the canon book. Even if, say, he drives somewhere else and doesn't crash at Hap's, he'd just go off the road somewhere else in the area, infect whoever he came into contact with, and achieve the same result by spreading the disease and causing the government to clamp down hard on the area of Texas it occurred in. I mean, maybe I mis-read, maybe I missed some crucial detail, but seems to me like this is just a POV from a passing driver on canon events of "The Stand".
