PerfectDarknessmon chapter 1 . 5/12/2004 Vash: I don't get it. You're saying that you KNOW the bible is the 'right' instruction book, because you read it? Therefore, anyone who read the 'wrong' instruction book can say it's the 'right' one, and attempt to 'save' others. How do you know you're reading the real instructions? Java: Very nice poem. Sorry the compliment got sucked underneath the ranting. |
Godfather chapter 1 . 3/16/2003 I concur with Vashunglasses. If I see someone sleeping in a burning house, unaware of the deadly flames, don't I have the obligation to at least warn them, even if they are quite happily sleeping. I can't force them to get the heck out, that's their choice, but when they burn up, they can't say they weren't warned. |
Jay 2K Winger chapter 1 . 1/26/2003 Great speech, Java. I agree completely. If we're happy, leave us be. As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If we're unhappy, feel free to try and cheer us up, but if it works, that's not an indication of conversion. |
Lucifer chapter 1 . 1/26/2003 So you want to beta read for Lucifer? He would enjoy that very much because Lucifer can't beta read for himself. He will email you later. And he will consider putting you in a story. There was something else he wanted to say, but he forgot. |
Tanika chapter 1 . 1/25/2003 i spite myself by saying this is okay. i had every intention on flaming you cause you said smiley-bear plagerised... ( however you spell that) you saw the exact one huh? maybe you should prove it. get it. have a link to where it came from. but untill then dont accuse people of plagerism. maybe you seen something similar but some people can think the same ya know? well nto exactly the same but soemthing similar to it. go ahead i want you to. show us this so called forward she copied from. and she wasnt just trying to get rid of reviews. it needed its perfect. she didnt even want to lose the reviews in the first place. ( just thought you should know) |
Tafadhali chapter 1 . 1/23/2003 This is great! And to Vash: You have an over-inflated sense of your own importance and the lack of consideration you show to other beliefs saddens and disgust me. Again, this is a fantastic poem, Java. Cheers! |
Sarathiel chapter 1 . 1/19/2003 What about gorillas? :( Um, yeah. Nice pretty poem, especially the stanza starting with "Why break this beauty..." ('Truely'? Truly, methinks.) |
Zuzanny chapter 1 . 1/18/2003 Very nicely said. :) |
vashsunglasses chapter 1 . 1/17/2003 As a Christian, I have never seen all the religions as a rainbow. It's never been a case of "my color is better than yours!" I see religions in this way: Imagine that each religion is a cup filled with liquid. Christianity's cup has water in it, all the other religions' (and non-religious beliefs') cups have fatal poisen(sp?) in them. The rules of life are simple, everyone drinks out of a cup. Luckily for us, these cups come with an instruction booklet...The Bible... which tells us which cup to drink out of. Unfortunately, there are false instruction books around us too. Now, if I read the real instructions and drink the water and knew which cup to drink out of, what kind of monster would I be if I just stood back and let everybody else drink the poisen if I could do something to stop them? Everyone else might say that they have the freedom to do what they want, or that I am forcing my beliefs on them, or that the writer of the Bible is mean to make them drink water instead of poisen but that is not going to make me stop trying to tell everyone about the danger they are in. That's the choice that every Christian faces: To say nothing and be popular, or to tell the truth and be hated and laughed at. ~vashsunglasses |
Mercuria chapter 1 . 1/16/2003 Gorgeous work ... |
Americaruulz chapter 1 . 1/16/2003 I'll admit, when you said it rhymes I was expecting some poem where the whole time you read it you feel like the writer took a group of rhyming words and put them together with sentences... example - hi, tie, bye, lie, die He said "Hi" He wore a tie No, I won't lie He also said bye. Someday he'll die... But this is really great, and your point came across wonderfully. Great job on this. |
Kawaii lil' Usagi-hime chapter 1 . 1/16/2003 Very nice poem, and a great message to all. Sometimes Christians forget that they shouldn't force their religion on others, but we shouldn't, and I am sorry if you feel as though I have with my poems. I know you don't believe me, and that is ok with me, but I really do not mean to push people to convert, I simply write poetry on what I feel, not to make people believe in what I do. I liked this poem. Keep writing. God Bless! Kawaii Usagi |
Elias A chapter 1 . 1/15/2003 Nice... rhyming poetry is so damn entertaining . . . and yours is both entertaining and enlightening. Lovely. |
blasphemer chapter 1 . 1/15/2003 Very good poem! Although I didn't completely get it's meaning. Are you criticizing those that do not believe, or are you saying that everybody has the right to believe in what they want. I have one disagreement though. It's about the free will thingie. We are dominated by are hormones and instincts. We aren't that much different from other animals. I'll stop ranting now. |
