As always, you never fail to exceed my expectations with every update- this story keeps getting better and better and it has been so nice to witness the quality of your writing evolve over the years. And this ship... Legolas staying with her and protecting her, even in her dreams, in addition to being disappointed when she forgot her confession to him makes me want to scream at how sweet that is. I wonder if he knows the extent of his feelings for her or if they are just starting to develop out of a platonic tenderness. Thanks so much for updating! Ahhh I am so excited you updated! And with such an update too... I can't believe she's finally admitted and I loved how you wrote with such subtly about his reactions to her confession. Alyssa is such a heartbreaking character and your writing is so effective in making us see things from her perspective with regards to her relationship with Legolas. And Legolas's characterization is so amazing as well- he is so tender and protective of her but also enigmatic as to whether he feels platonic or romantically toward her at this current stage. I also love it when he pulls rank on her ;) I honestly can't express to you how pleased I was to see you had started updating again and it was of such good quality too. Well, I guess the cats outta the bag now! Fricken finally, I was worried that no one would of found out about the dark voices!
Also, I'm so glad you decided to post this chapter even without fully "liking" the way it turned out, because in my opinion it's a really good chapter to start the year with! One of my teachers told me that it's easy to read your work and find many things to dislike, but that's just because you are desensitized to your own work. The readers, in contrast, don't see everything behind the scenes and enjoy the plotline because it's new/good. So don't worry too heavily about lack of formal knowledge or discontent with the chapters, things will settle properly!
Hope that Alyssa doesn't have a conniption when she is all healed up! (And I hope Legolas takes his "blackmail" knowledge and goes easy on poor Lyss haha)
