AJ Granger chapter 7 . 1/11/2017 I love this glimpse into Jess's past. His story of being a good kid, good student, essentially an adult as a child. It makes a lot of sense in terms of Liz not losing him to CPS or through some other action (especially if he occasionally showed up at school with an odd bruise). I like that Jess hasn't forgiven Liz, and I like that even though Luke did his best, it still shows the ways in which he could have done better. People did automatically come out against Jess just by seeing him without ever having any knowledge otherwise. What we learned directly from him was the love of reading, the deep thoughts on books, etc, the magic tricks/sleight of hand, that he wasn't so good at dealing with people, and that he worked hard. He did hold down two jobs, and was always generous with Rory. I was a little stunned there wasn't more from her grandparents about the suddenness of everything, but it worked well. |
ourgoldeneyes chapter 7 . 7/25/2016 Love how different your version of Jess' childhood is compared to others and hope you continue this, love the story and your writing :) much love x |
Droolia chapter 7 . 6/20/2016 I want that version of Jess' upbringing to be true. |
Droolia chapter 3 . 6/19/2016 Rory has the right idea with the wedding ceremony and she broke news of her pending engagement to her grandparents in the best way possible. |
Nancy chapter 7 . 2/29/2016 I like the past that you created for Jess. Aside from Liz and her awfulness as a parent, he was a happy, good, and enlightened boy. Because of Liz, Jess had to take care of himself way too early in life, but he made wonderful and good choices that would be helpful and beneficial to him as an adult, actually for his entire life. Straight A's - I can see that; eating his homemade sandwich and enjoying the museum - how enlightened and mature is that. He made himself a good life and he was happy and healthy. Liz was a failure, a total failure as Jess' mom, but she is much better now. I understand Jess not wanting to give her any of his time, any benefit of the doubt. The hurt she did to him ran too long and too deep for Jess to just let bygones be bygones. Maybe he will mellow a bit with time. But, whatever, Lorelai now knows the REAL story. Jess and Rory are going to have a wonderful life. More soon please. |
jordana60 chapter 7 . 2/28/2016 That's an explanation of Jess' childhood I never heard before or even thought of.I like it! |
Scarlet3086 chapter 7 . 2/28/2016 Love, love, love this chapter! |
sonotalady chapter 6 . 2/26/2016 That ending is so Emily that I'm just smiling like crazy! Love this so much :D |
Nancy chapter 6 . 2/25/2016 A very important email. So, Christopher the slime wasn't too bad. Emily and Richard are being gracious with furniture. Be sure to have Luke hold his own - with respect to the elder Gilmores and the slime. Very nice job of Jess explaining about his earlier living arrangements. And, yes, Rory and Jess are going to have an amazing life. More soon please. |
