The only thing that I found "wrong" with this chapter is that Nicky's fate is left as an enigma. Don't know where he went, and with Alex's Poké Balls.

Now I see why the sequel is titled after that Gallade though. And it should prove interesting.

...Well, I'm officially speechless. I was expecting Ghetsis to mention who his son was (and I suspected it was Terry), but I didn't expect Alex to die.

At least I think he's dead. Unless he's saved by that guy on a Salamence.

Don't know why, but this chapter made me think of the movie "Next" with Nicholas Cage starring in it. Basically, he's able to see the future and is "protected" by SWAT team near the end of the film.

Harsh betrayal right there. Damn near killed Terry too. But plot armor keeps both him and his Pokémon alive, Angel Gardevoir in particular.

I wonder how he'll rescue her.

Back here again. This time, I'll read until I reach the end. You have a Book Two after all. :D

For a Sinnoh Finalist, I expected a Staraptor, not a Staravia. Then again, Ash Ketchum has defeated teams with Pokémon that have only evolved once or not at all.

Seems a bit random that Nicky had his chest piece broken, which resulted in Alex tossing in the towel. But his character does show as a result.

I think that's it for now. Next chapter sounds like a big deal.

Damn... Terry's back story hits you like a 30,000 roof falling on your head. I recall only bits and pieces of it throughout the past chapters, but not in full. Didn't think he'd be the type of person to emotionally spiral down into thoughts of suicide.

I think Bryan has a dirty mind. Or he's used by the plot to tell us what may happen in the near future. After all, you did have Terry note an Umbreon hybrid.

It's interesting how ALL breedable Pokémon lay eggs. Even the mammalian, mechanical, and animated inanimates. You'd think there would be live births or something.

What a beautiful tale.

At first, I was put off by the story's slow beginning (as stated in my review of The Red Sky), but I forced myself to read the whole thing nonetheless. I was not dissapointed.

The characters were done so well; Zeke felt like the troubled adult he should be, Alex (rip) felt like the mature sidekick, Angel felt like (admittedly) the typical Gardevoir love interest, Tana, well, she doesn't say much in the story, so you'll have to read Zenxolu's to know what she's like.

Finally, Terry. I gotta say, I'm impressed with his character presentation. Unlike most psychic OCs, Terry doesn't seem all-powerful. Sure, he might be the strongest living psychic in the Pokémon world, but he's got a lot of mental problems that limit his abilities. He's one of those supposedly OP characters that isn't OP at all. I love his character.

Finally, congrats on your first chapter of Book 2. But I gotta say, the rating dropped from M to T and Friendship got replaced with Hurt/Comfort. So is Book 2 going to be more of a feelsy story conpared to the this one?

And btw, might wanna bump the rating back up to M if you're intending to keep the overall dark theme to the story.

And I also realized, none of the stories have the Romance tag on them. Well, I wasn't expecting a super romancy story anyway.

Anyway, great story, wonderful job, can't wait to see more, etc. etc.

PS: The Red Sky hasn't even reached the Plasma base raid yet, and this story is all up to Book 2. So how's it gonna play out for Zen?

I fail to see how this chapter is butchered unless it continues as a second part for the next one. Regardless, it's reassuring to see that no one got hurt. Although I wonder what kind of challenges will stand before Athena. How will she cope with Alex?

I'll probably read that other story you're recommending when I have the free time to.

Wiw, a lot of plot development in this chapter. Nicky evolves into a Gallade, Alex escapes death thanks to Jasmine, and Craig and Zeke are introduced, along with their Shiny Braixen.

Wonder what secrets they hold?

You ever watch a show called "Animal Cops" on the Animal Planet channel? You really come to pity the animals that are cruelly treated, emaciated, anemic, sick, and borderline dead or ALREADY dead.

Reading this chapter made me feel the same way for Athena Riolu.

Lemons... I will happily wait to drink the savory lemonade that results from extracting it at a time you feel suits this story best. And it is a great choice to focus on their bond instead of crossing any more borders.

If it leads to a couple of hilarious moments like Terry catching Angel in the buff (which make me wonder if Pokémon have clothing and if they do, where does it come from?), then I won't complain.

Also, I'm guessing Nicky didn't evolve?

Regardless of the taboo nature of "Poképhilia", it does make one think about its implication in the Pokémon universe. After all, in Sinnoh mythology, it was practically custom of them to intermingle. They'd eat from the same table, marry, and we're at one point considered indistinguishable from one another.

...Of course, that could also imply that humans descended from Pokémon, whiskers is a fantastic Game Theory in itself.

That reminds me, have you ever looked at my artwork recently? Nothing particularly special as it's mostly sketches that are predominantly inanimate objects as well as Pokémon, from the general to the NSFW.

I ask because I'm getting some ideas between Angel and Terry that I can illustrate for you as gift art. One is the whole Physical Reassurance thing both of them do, and another is having Terry comfortingly looking over Angel as she's recovering in bed.

If you're interested, feel free to give me some details regarding Terry's outward appearance. I've honestly forgotten about that... Also, it will take me a while to draw that if you want me to, as I'm presently finalizing many of the Pokémon sketches I made a while ago.
