well that interesting but ok curious of nancy is a legacy of hermes who was her hermes demigod ancestor? and how far down does blood still count idr as it was introduced in H.o.O. which didn't go to far in depth and had a terrible end so ba i haven't finished nor continued the series or read the next mythos

An idea for you. A way of levelling up skills in a more realistic but fun way could be learning different ways to use them or techniques for them.

Example (A): Percy learns how to shape water, freeze it and other things.

Example (B): Percy/Nancy/Grover learn different techniques that go with their weapons like disarming techniques, killing techniques, crippling techniques and the like.

This would give the story more 'flavour' as instead of saying "Percy trained his swordsmanship for a while" you can describe what he trained like clean cuts or combos.

Another suggestion would be Percy learning how to use his powers in more intricate ways like absorbing water from living things/the atmosphere when he's not near an area with water. A lot of Gamer fics I read give Percy spells way out of his elemental range without letting him master what he hs first. Hydrokinesis is OP hell if used right and with his power, Percy should be able to learn more and bring out its high potential.

I don't mind him learning other elements hell I encourage it just for the shock factor that will come from it but I hope you don't ignore his born with abilities.

The poor kids have quite the explanation to give. Oh well, does the horn get them anything? Can they use it to make higher quality magical items?
