First off, I apologize for my long-winded Review(s)

Second: Sweet, innocent, Jack. Getting "slightly" turned on because a girl knows how to pick a lock. No lying, I laughed my butt off. He recovered pretty quickly, but it was great while it lasted.

Third: I didn't think about this in my Review last chapter, but I reread ch. 16. I just came to realize, when Jack and Elizabeth skip rocks, just how much Jack missed. He didn't have a childhood, and the majority of his life consisted of killing Splicers, and then he's swept straight into responsibility once he left Rapture to take care of his girls. I know its not much, but it was nice to see that child-like side of him. Despite viewing him as an adult, I think we sometimes forget that he never had the opportunity to be a kid. Thanks for that :D

Fourth: I'm curious why you had him choose the Bird pendant, but take the other one too. I know that Bioshock: Infinite was less about straight-cut morality than the previous games, and that we, the players, were meant to create our own interpretation of the choices we were given in-game. So I'm curious what yours was in applying those to Jack. I understand that he doesn't like being messed with by the Lutece, he holds to Daddy Ryan's only words worth listening too (a man chooses, a slave obeys), and his moral standing is as solid as they come; but what did the Bird pendant mean to Jack? Or if it doesn't apply to him directly, what did he see in Elizabeth that he attributed the Bird to her?

Can't wait for Chapter 18. Gotta say, you have me psyched. Thanks again for Jack's reaction to Elizabeth's lock-picking skills! It was superb!

Nice touch with Jack and his heritage. BTW, I think you got the sequence of events mixed up. Elizabeth finds the coins and points out the vending machine after walking by the man washing the floor. Great to see that you're back in action!
Childatheart28 chapter 17 . 12/25/2018
What a wonderful Christmas present! Jack just refuses to play the Lutece game! I enjoy Jack and Elizabeth getting to know each other. Especially when she asks him if he has a girl in his life. He has 5!

PRAISE THE GODS YOU'RE ALIVE!
So good to know this story ain't dead.
Razmire chapter 17 . 12/25/2018
I wonder if Elizabeth will end up opening a tear that lets the horrors of Rapture visit Colombia. This is an interesting story, and hopefully the next chapter will be out soon.
BenRG chapter 17 . 12/25/2018
For a man like Jack, saving someone from an unjust fate isn't a choice, it's an obligation that he chooses to honour.

Yeah, I forgot that Ryan was a Polish Jew and that Tennenbaum learned of her aptitude for genetics in a Concentration Camp.
SteinMon1920518 chapter 16 . 12/21/2018
Okay, this is among my first plausible Reviews, so please bare with me.
First off, I love the story. I just recently binged the entire Bioshock series all over again (only the main-games, extras come later).
Second, I can picture Jack's character. Despite Bioshock 1 giving players a silent perspective with clear moral choices, you've made a person out of him. Despite his would-be design as fail-safe for Fontaine, reading some of the wit, charisma, and intelligence you've filled him with just makes him that much more human. Even just reading and realizing that he still has his Plasmids threw me off guard, and I was half waiting for him to toss a Security Bullseye for the turrets (but Possession works too). And if only we, the players, could have bypassed some of those levels as easily as he did.
Third, Elizabeth. Despite having finished Bioshock: Infinite recently, I'm still captivated by her free-spirited innocence and knowledge that you nailed to a tee. I'm almost dreading what'll transpire when (no "ifs", I'm counting on you) you pick this back up, but I can't wait to read the look on Jack's face when she starts picking locks.
Fourth, overall. The dynamic is superb. You make connections that link Rapture and Columbia in ways I never thought about. And even just the little things that separate Jack from Booker DeWitt (or... big I suppose) like their motivations, their interactions, and even Jack's regrets. If this were made into a game, I'd play it a few times through for story alone (and to capitalize on them Plasmids/Vigors).

Personally, having Jack answer her honestly was relieving. And when he danced with her, it was enough to make me cry. I honestly wish that was an option in the game, because despite the pressing matters at hand, Elizabeth was really happy.
Childatheart28 chapter 16 . 11/25/2018
So many deviations from the game! Jack is open and honest about his intentions so Elizabeth really trusts him. Hall of Heros could be skipped altogether unless the siphon is THAT picky. Even then Jack is no soldier and I bet Slate would be able to tell.
