I don’t think you should involve ALL the straw hats. They would take the attention from the rwby cast way too much.
I think luffy having a semblance its cool because it’s something different to his original powers. He really needs a serious nerfing, I feel he is just way too strong with all of his abilities plus semblance. Your proposal of eliminating devil fruits and Haki is
Anyway, I really like the way you write, just be careful with overpowering the straw hats way too much or making one universe dominate (in this case, the straw hat’s) over the other one.

When are you going to remake the story?

1. Your Luffy doesn't give the vibe of a Luffy but that of a cheap imitation. But since this is your first story, that bit can be forgiven.
2. The Mysterious merchant giving him Gum Gum fruit was done badly because it raises so many unnecessary questions. Is that merchant going to go around and sell other devil fruits to other people? Because if that's the case then I'm dropping this novel right now.
3. I've read alternative versions this whole scene so many times that I can already guess what'll happen. The MC comes and helps Ruby Rose against Roman Torchwick but Roman somehow manage to escape regardless. Then the MC goes with Ruby and is given entrance in Beacon Academy along with Ruby.

This is your novel, I know that. But try to be slightly original please.

Oh PLEASE don’t start from scratch with this story. And especially don’t get rid of Luffy’s devil fruit powers. I get that haki makes everyone overpowered, as that’s why onepiece’s battles no longer have suspense. But it’s more like Luffy’s semblance make him OP here. And it would be such a waste to have all this story be remade and never updated again, after 39 chapters.

I hear your having problems with power scaling. Well there is one thing that could try and that is letting the RWBY character have Devil Fruits and work on a little more on their Haki and semblances. Try finding a way to blend the Haki,semblances,and DF with one or the other like if you choose a character to take a devil fruit just like in one piece treat it like inheriting the will or create a new destiny for them. Like this say like the flame-flame fruit cake and Luffy and Sabo can't get I in time so Luffy would only trust one of his friends to get honestly it might be taking it from another story but Jaune would be third best choice if something happened. Also you can getting something combining Haki and semblances. I honestly think Ruby would best suited for CoO if she could learn future site with her speed then she truly be threat and Yang with a full body armament would help semblances with taking more damage without being too hurt also liking that aura rumble ball thing work more on that. Blake and Wiess you're probably going think more but remember one of OP thing it's not always about being stronger you need to out smart the people too like how the straw hats running away from Big Mom were able to trick he and take Zeus. Now for the funny quirk like I was thinking after the fight with Adam and CP9 and any future fight he kind of have a shut down and basically goes to sleep for a few days but in those few days the straw hats that hasn't been reborn yet take full control for those days like one straw hat per day and that way the RWBY gang interact with crew and get to know each other and know which Strawhat is who they basically give themselves some clothes to identify them that matches both Luffy and their style like Nami always dress dress sexy she gives Luffy that kind of style which would make Blake and Velvet suffer also Brook and Franky would get him in trouble with how they act and wear. I hope these ideas help and I hope you don't redo the story it's still one of the best.

In regards to your proposal for a remake, I think it's a good idea. But I feel like adding all the straw hats will make it too overwhelming, since you would also include all the teams. Too many characters will make it difficult to keep track of, and might lead to another revision, if I'm being honest. It's something I've seen when others have attempted at adding too many characters. But I really like this memory-aura idea, so maybe you can make Luffy's devil fruit a memory as well, that way he doesn't always have access to it and only uses it when needed. Also, I think you should add Zoro to the memories as well, since he doesn't really bring much to the overall story (granted, he was just brought back haha). OOOR, you can do it the same way you made it in your other story, by having him not be able to use aura at all, which I think is even better! Him having multiple abilities is pretty OP lol. Just some suggestions if you do wish to go forward with the Remake :). Though, I kinda really want to see where your other story goes as well, since I find the inclusion of team STRQ and the overall concept much more interesting. Not saying that this isn't badass either, just my preference. Either way, I'm very excited to see what you got cooking in that brain of yours, and I'll be here to feast on some glorious chapters!...

Amazing story so far, but I feel that you a bit confused about somethings since there are some things that don't follow things in canon of one piece and RWBY. I like to start off on water with devil fruits, natural water doesn't affect devil fruit users and only seawater does not deep water which is how they can still bath and such. ( luffy just never learn how to swim or diving.) Second ice dust is not a natural dust and water dust is, they mix together water and wind dust to make ice dust. ( I know after seeing only ice dust and never water and was confused to learn still too.) Thirdly people cannot run out of armament haki, luffy just can't use after gear 4 since he pushes his haki farther than he should resulting in not being able to use for 10 mins and only using gear 4 for a very limited time. ( since it's depended on your will and only weakens when you get too exhausted to fight.) But only than that you are doing great at this story and I can't wait for future chapters and thank you for reading my review. :)

I hope that Perona doesn't become a main-stay character, send her ass back to mihawk. She's one of the only characters in OP that's annoying as hell.

I say go for it, but don’t entirely give up on this story. Write a few chapters for the new story while putting this on hold, if it doesn’t work out come back to it.
