I was initially unsure what to expect when I heard about this fic. In the books Dudley wasn't very well developed and I got the impression he was a bit dim. But the author has taken the little that J. K. Roling has given us about Dudley and run with it. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon are quite in character, and the OC is unique. I like the idea of muggles making use of magical ingredients to make potions for many different uses.

This is such a cool little story and I’m really glad you wrote it all the way through to the end! It was very brave to focus on Dudley and an OC, but I really liked how you wrote Dudley, and Eve turned out to be a great character, and by the end I was really invested in her story. The way that you have imagined a muggle interacting with the magical world is great and a view not often seen in the fandom. This was a really interesting and fun readthanks for sharing!

I kinda want him to meet up with Harry or for Harry to see him and think, "Is that Dudley? No, it can't be." But I know, sticking to the books.

I know that there is absolutely no point in writing this, as this is already long since written, but I hope Dudley sees Harry being awesome- from a distance, mind you, because Harry never saw Dudley. I think I'd be cool for him to realize what a powerful wizard Harry truly is, and what a hero.

...well then. Frankly, I don't like that you killed off Vernon, but you did, and you're writing it well. Good job, at least you didn't write it bad.

A great read. Especially liked Dudley's involvement in the battle.

This was a fantastic story! One of the best that had to do with The Dursleys during the final year! And Dudley in particular. It’s actually my favorite of all I’ve read. So good job. And I love that you added the extra snippets to the end!

That was cool. I really enjoyed it. The whole story had me hooked from the beginning. I liked the ending, but the relationship seemed like it was a side effect of Stockholm syndrome.

Why they would even assume she'd known her father is what puzzles me. What with the name, the American accent and upbringing, the Muggle-world knowledge, it was always more likely that her parents had long been separated, if indeed they'd ever been together for longer than it took to concieve here.

"She had explained Dumbledore's death like it was some random Death Eater" was niggling at me, so I went back and checked the previous chapters (several times). Maybe you could tell me where you wrote it, because it doesn't seem to be anywhere.

Perhaps you intended it to be included in the passing reference to her filling Dudley in on his cousin's history and Hogwarts adventures (That would explain why Dudley didn't ask who was the real culprit after hearing that the Ministry wanted Harry for Dumbledore's "murder", which omission had struck me as odd), but if you were going to make it a plot point like this it really needed to be explicitly mentioned in the text.

It was very unreasonable of him to expect her to tell him. If Hestia and Dedalus would find the subject painful - which he sussed out by himself, hence why he never asked them - she has many times greater reason to find it so.

Compelling start.

(Quidditch is a stupid sport though, not nearly as interesting as Muggle sports, including the various types of football. The points disparity between catching the Snitch and scoring goals is so huge that the goal-scoring/defending action is almost pointless; just something to distract you while you wait for the Seeker to do his/her stuff.)

Oh my goodness, this story is amazing and had me on the edge of my seat. It was a wonderful read, full of wonderful plot lines and characters. I loved every second of it and I think you deserve an award for it. Well done and have a great week!
