beautiful wholesome story, I really loved this. I was really entertained by the Bond links, and you made John a fascinating different character but also kept him the safe John we know and love.

This comment is connected to this chapter and the previous one. The story is very interesting so far, however I'm somehow bothered by the fact that not only Sherlock, but also Jim lay the blame of Sherlock's troubles at Mycroft's feet. So, okay, he distanced himself from Sherlock (hopefully you'll explain why in future chapters), but the primary responsibility for Sherlock's well being were his parent's, that have been shown to fail miserably.
Anyway... if Mycroft really didn't care, he should not have rescued Sherlock so many times, not look for help to the mutism either.
