Loved this...I missed the Gibbs-Tony relationship, esp in MW's last season. btw, I had Shepherds Pie at an Irish place, & it was made w beef [I hate lamb].

I've been re-reading your stories and realised I'd missed a few. This was one of them and I really enjoyed it. Just one tiny thing, if the pie is made with minced beef then it's a cottage pie. Shepherds pies are made with lamb mince.

Great to see Gibbs worrying about Tony and Tony being able to look after himself.

I'm glad Gibbs chose to be a good guest. It's good that he'll spend a little more time with Tony. Otherwise, Tony might blame his cold for causing hallucinations. The new-for-them setting of Tony's place rather than Gibbs' house should help keep them from falling back on their old way of interacting, I hope.

A different take on the episode of the episode from the 19th. Only instead of extreme cold Glasser and the writers came up with, it was the snow DC really got. Nice to see that Gibbs is realizing that Tony is "growing up."

Hi, Gibbs enjoying the snow days with Tony, maybe 'seeing' Tony for the first time in years is a hopeful scenario. I'm amazed myself about how much they all changed through the years. An interesting thought that maybe Gibbs fears that he may still have forgotten memories. I enjoyed the domestic duo.

This manages to dance on the line of extremely sweet and wonderful and depressingly sad, it is so strange to see a relationship that seems to teeter between such closeness and distance and yet you write it so well. Once again lovely story and can't wait for you to pull them out of their box again.

Love the idea that Gibbs might be more comfortable if the TV was set to black and white! And Ducky's cough syrup - I can see dandelions, peppermint and chamomile - but rutabaga?

Nice to see competent, confident Tony, and Gibbs feeling safe and secure at Tony's place, instead of the other way round.
