I forgot how hard this chapter hit me the first time a read it. Especially the scene with Tokuma and Hiashi. “Neji is a beautiful boy” is just replaying in my head.

Shikamaru hacked away at the trees he could see, just to find more trees hidden behind—oh my!

Re-reading this amazing fic for the second time. And man, that scene with Shino and Kiba cracked me up, and Naruto’s commentary had me downright hollering!

Ino really gives herself too little credit. Her professionalism during the internal conflicts is commendable and I like that she even let Kiba's jabs slide to tell him to grow up. In all this suspicion and uncertainty only she understood Neji's character well enough to see that he does care and she knows when to push and when to leave him alone. I'm glad Neji let her know that she is doing well.

And Neji... why must he keep protecting others at the cost of himself T_T
