In SWM, Lily was not helping Snape. She was flirting with James Potter meanwhile he was sexually harassed by the Marauders. That's why he insulted Lily.

I understand severus feeling,he want to prove to Lily that the marauders is not wonderful gryffindor hero,but just a gang of bullies. If they really wonderful,they Will not hexing Snape for fun, and Snape retaliating is i think understandable, Potter have send Snape to hospital wing,so why Snape cannot do the same to him. To prove that severus Will not accept his behaviour and he can't treat him like that. Severus is the outcast in his school year,not a bullies. I think potterhead confused him over adult Snape and teenager snape

This chapter is good,to see Lily trying to find reason to tell Alice why he is not befriending severus,Lupin who confused about his feeling for Lily,James who realize his method for winning a girl is wrong,and severus who find his sanctuary in the form of Dumbledore and flitwick who just didn't dismiss him as greasy haired slytherin,but as severus snape

Severus and Lily relationship become a backstreet, because sev position as spy for the order. That's i like about his character,even thought Lily is already gone, he is still fighting for the side of light because it's the right thing to do. To see him a force to save wizarding world from a dark lord. And to see Sirius and Regulus interact with bellatrix,is funny,hahaha.

Maybe because Lily see sev working in the shadow,she feel in love with him. To see he is doing it,not in openness, and hiding in shadow, A very dangerous task,but still doing it. To see severus became a honorable and bravest mast she's ever knew

2nd half of review:

So Snape was stupid too. Now he'll have to take it on the chin, even though he didn't know what Avery planned. I infer that Snape won't die - it's too early in the fic for that - but he'll have to pay somehow. Dumbledore's tortures will be just the beginning.

I doubt that Dumbledore can or will protect him, whatever he says; maybe the recovery won't take too long. Lily will of course greet a legitimate excuse to desert him with crocodile tears and hitch up with Potter, Lupin, or both. It will be interesting to see how, or if, you plan to recover this.

Lily continues to hector Snape all the while he's making her cold potions for her! Her hypocrisy is sickening, and her refusal to see that he is terrified for her safety hardly less so. "I'm going to do whatever I please whether you like it or not, you have no right to dislike it anyway, and ~you'd~ better do what I please too - because I'll walk if you don't." Claiming, even to herself, that that's not what she means is nothing but self-delusion.

I had hoped that this Lily would be better than the canon version, but she's not. She still demands that he do all the understanding and all the yielding. Her occasional and minuscule imitations of understanding would be risible if their reversal didn't torture him so much.

I know this thing is virtually finished, but I hope to God you don't enslave Snape to yet another ruthless manipulator. Two were enough!

So she accuses Snape of being ashamed of her for practicing self-preservation. It's all on Snape ~again~. She yammers about how evil his Housemates are but spares not one microsecond to consider what they would do to him if he ~openly~ spent as much time with her as he wants to. She's not just self-righteous but stupid.

Then she spends the whole day listening to Lupin's poison as he tries to get her to desert Snape, who has just one friend, after his previously having whinged about how he has no other friends but the Potter gang. ~Then~ she stands Snape up ~again~ ("back before lunch") without a thought while Lupin crashes for the night.

Did Snape not notice her absence? There should have been the mother of all blowups, perfectly justified on Snape's part even though he knew nothing of the Lupin-Lily conversation.

Then we suddenly switch to weeks later ("The beginning of May slipped by...") and yet another session with Dumbledore, who manages to cozzen Snape into revealing far too much.

I don't get the sequence here. Never mind what I think of the three Gryffindors: there seems to be a large chunk of text missing. What's going on?

What a powerful conversation between severus and Remus. To think that Remus only realize that Lily is the one who genuinely love him as a friend and don't wanna to using it against his Will (seriously, walking werewolf around hogsmeade?) And to see that severus is being mature,to accept his fault and Lupin presence. But actually, if Lupin doesn't bully him and active trying to make peace with them,Snape Will not hold grudge against him. All staff in Hogwarts believe and befriending him, because they respect him and treating with goodness and profesionalism. The marauders,on the other hand, treat severus like sub human,the man that they can bully because he's weak. they not really brave against slytherin gang,because slytherin gang(mulciber,Avery,rosier) is much more powerful and more cruel than Snape. I see the marauders as a coward,not brave,becaus they targetting just one person,not entire group who is racist toward muggleborn

Interaction of Remus and Lily, and i am happy that Lily learning to accept the obsession of dark arts from severus, she thinks that dark arts corrupts,when it is not. It's the heart of person who make dark arts cruel actually. You can have a collection of gun in your room and it Will make you a criminal if you have permit? Off course not, what makes you a criminal because you use gun to hurt people,not just simply enjoyed using it in shooting range

Wow,Severus. That was harsh, if it did happen in Canon, i agree to Lily that he forced end their friendship. I Mean,hurting people and one of them in wheel chair and screaming because their brains is hurt is out of the line. Luckily in this timeline, severus have already Made a decision. To stand by Lily side no matter what. I am glad that Dumbledore take care of severus like a mentor figure to him. If it isn't for him,sev Will descend to darkness and first wizarding war Will be gone badly like in Canon timeline. Believe it or not,severus snape is one of the strongest wizard in Britain and lose him to Voldemort side make a war for the order more difficult

I really glad that in this scene Lily listening to severus incident in shrieckking shack than in Canon when she just say that severus friend is evil because they are using dark magic than worried about his well being after the incident (seriusly? Since when using dark magic is comparable to attempted murderer?) Because of this,severus know that Lily is always by his side and that shake him to become death Eater in the first place

After read your chapter,i understand why the marauders so cruel against Snape. But, their hatred toward death Eater doesn't excuse their behavior towards slytherin. Their behavior only fuel Snape and slytherin hatred towards gryfindor and realize Dumbledore side is not different from death eater,after all,when Voldemort in the beginning of the war,he just want to apartheid between pureblood and muggleborn(from kreacher perspective). Only when the war reaches height of the war that he show his true color. So that's why in the beginning severus and Regulus came to join DE. Because they are believing that wizarding world Will be more prospered when Voldemort in power. And Ministry isn't different when they even doing the things that the marauders despise, doing prejudice against werewolf and muggleborn (that's why mcgonagal resign from ministry,prejudice). Good job for maintaning their good intention,but in the end make a things worse. After all, the road to hell, is paved with good intention
