This was so nice!

And I liked how imperfect the proposal was - reminds me of one of my favorite proposal stories. One of my relatives and her boyfriend were in the process of moving, but she needed to pick up her kid at the airport, because the kid had flown in from college. She's worn out from the move, though, so she asked the boyfriend to go, and he ends up dragging her along with him. Somehow they end up in a park on the way there, and it's starting to rain a little, and she wants to leave but he keeps trying to get her to sit on a bench for a moment. She finally snapped at him, "Why? It's not like you're trying to propose!"

He gave her this look and she sat down HARD, because yes, that's EXACTLY what he was trying to do. We give her a hard time about it but the story is so 100% her that anything else would seem wrong! And this chapter is the same way - if it had all gone smoothly for those two, it wouldn't have felt completely true!

Yeah, so you're maybe not the best at finishing things in a timely manner, but at least you do finish them. I have so many fics on my favorites list that have remained unfinished for nearly a decade. I literally just checked, and the oldest incomplete favorited story on my list was last updated in 2009. 2009!

So, from all of us out there who forever hold out hope that the next update will still come, and believe in their heart of hearts that every story will be finished at some point, THANK YOU FOR KEEPING OUR DREAMS ALIVE BY UPDATING!
