Jetfire chapter 6 . 2/4/2019 Are you continuing this? Because this is awesome. You can clearly see just how broken Double D is and how Ed, though well off all considering, clearly didn't want to to achieve his success the way he got it. The fact that Ed is functioning as Double D's anchor to reality rather than vice versa like it was in the show just shows how wrong everything is. The only good thing about Double D's condition is that his depression and brokenness actually obstructs the worst possible outcome. Given his immense intellect and talent at inventing (which he does not feel motivated to apply anymore), Double D could very easily become a terrorist. He can make anything out of anything. He can create explosives out of household items. He could bust Eddy out if he put his mind to it. A mind that intelligent can very dangerous when motivated. I can't wait for you to continue this. |
Guest chapter 3 . 6/15/2017 Good on Double-D for standing up for himself and his friends! Honestly, those assholes have had it coming to them for a long time, and they deserved every bit of that rant. I DO NOT blame him at all. But I felt so bad for Ed and Double-D this whole time; not only did they go through the most traumatic period of their lives, but they lost Eddy, someone who was not only someone that they loved and cared for dearly, but was also someone who loved and cared for them dearly in return. (Even if he wasn't exactly a saint, and was not always the nicest guy.) Not only that, but their nightmare was partly the Kids' fault (not including Nazz and Rolf). They wanted to ruin the Eds' lives for stuff that was not only petty, but was not even remotely their fault! And also, (as TV Tropes would say) Reality Ensues! Turns out, if you... -Bully and abuse a kind, caring, and forgiving boy and his two best friends for pretty much your entire lives, while showing no remorse whatsoever, -Decide to blame him and said best friends for stuff that is not even remotely their fault, -Trick them into believing that you and your own friends want to make peace with them and become their friends, as soon as they decide to apologize and make amends with you and your group, -Get the Kankers involved, knowing full well what they might do to the Eds, even though it's obvious the Kankers might be planning to do far worse to the Eds than just kissing them, and it's obvious that they are rapists-in-training, -Cruelly turn on the Eds, haze them, humiliate them and make them cry while making it clear that you hate them and will always see them as losers, -Hand them over to the Kankers, so that those monsters can RAPE the Eds (Granted, they didn't actually know about the rape part, but as Double-D bitterly points out, they SHOULD'VE known better, and frankly have no excuse for not realizing what the Kankers might actually be up to), -Put them in a traumatic and nightmarish situation where they are almost raped and then almost murdered by the Kankers, leaving them with no choice but to kill the Kankers to save themselves and each other, -Which unfortunately leads to the cops mistaking them for remorseless murderers, arresting them, and having them thrown in jail, -Being sentenced to prison for a period of 13-18 months, which goes on his record, and destroys any chance of him getting into a college or career; not to mention being thrown into one of the worst types of prison there, and being tortured every day and night by the guards and other prisoners, -Forcing him to hear about your bullshit excuses for why you ruined their lives and yet tell him how "sorry" you and your peers are after he gets out of jail, and how you want his forgiveness, even though you did of that aforementioned stuff to him and his friends, -AND WORST OF ALL, he has had to hear the court sentencing Eddy, his OWN BEST FRIEND, to Death Row; by the way, Eddy had not only risked his life to try and save Ed and Double-D from the Kankers, but had also intentionally took the blame and sacrificed himself so that Ed and Double-D would not go down in prison as harshly as him, to try and keep them safe. This means that, as far as he knows, Eddy is going to DIE, and Double-D will NEVER see him or be with him ever again, -AND all this can be blamed on the other cul-de-sac Kids, no matter what their petty bullshit excuses are, Then NO! He is NOT going to accept your apologies. Even if you really mean it and want to make amends, he is going to rightfully hate you and blame you for ruining the lives of him and his best friends, he is going to EXPLODE and scream at you, make it clear that he does NOT want anything to do with you anymore, and also make it clear that you DON'T DESERVE his forgiveness and friendship, or even Ed's. He would rather have it that you left him and Ed alone, than to even consider entertaining the possibility of becoming friends with you. Whew, rant over. Anyway, I love how the story shows how much Eddy meant to Ed and Double-D; hell, this chapter makes it clear that Eddy is the one person that Double-D loved the most, no matter what his faults were, event though Double-D also still loves Ed very much. It really just goes to show that Eddy was as important to Ed and Double-D, as they were to him. As far as they know, Eddy is never gonna be part of their lives again, and it has torn them up, more than anything else that has happened to them in their lives. Because of this, Double-D is so broken that he's not as able to function as much as he used to anymore, and at this point, the only reason he hasn't killed himself is his other best friend, Ed. You know he's fucked up when he's not even able to enjoy school anymore, and does not want to be there at all; at this point, he's pretty much a broken, desolate shell of his former self, and he will never be the same person ever again. All that said, I'm really enjoying this little sequel to "Forfeit!" The original story was phenomenal and powerful in its' own right, and this story is proving to be just as fantastic. I hope the author comes back to write more of this, especially because I've wanted a sequel to "Forfeit" for some time, and now this fanfic is stepping in to fill the void. To Saiyamekian Princess, I really love this story; I hope you put up more chapters soon, and I also hope you're doing all right with your life! Keep up the great work! :) |
Ryujin Zangetsu 17 chapter 6 . 8/27/2016 Man I feel so bad for those two. Even after all these years, it still fucks them up terribly about what happen to Eddy. The first story was amazing, this one is as well. You must continue soon man and thanks for the read. Really hope things gets better, I really do. |
AJ the Marauder chapter 6 . 8/22/2016 This is an amazing story. I love the first one and I always wondered what would've happened after. Keep it up and post again soon! |
Neo H.B.B. Sam chapter 5 . 6/6/2016 Wow, I just discovered this fanfiction today and it's like I'm being thrown back years ago into feeling the exact same suspense I had when I first read Forfeit. No wonder Spike said this is the canon sequel, it rightfully deserves that role. Although while reading Forfeit was like waiting for an atomic bomb to go off, now we see the aftermath of the nuclear holocaust in your own story Saiyamekian Princess. I'll give you credit for doing the best with the ending to the story, and I should confess right now that I was the one who encouraged Spikender to write the epilogue and the sentencing for the Eds, which looking back was rather messy. As Luciu Splendente put it in a review she left for the original story, it is pretty flawed thanks to my poor understanding of the legal system at the time, and looking back now I would have suggested a different outcome in court as well (the fact I didn't even realize how a trial like that would've taken at least one to two years on its own right just goes to show my own ignorance of the law back then). Still, besides some grammar and punctuation issues, you are doing a fantastic job at capturing each of the characters Saiyamekian Princess. I hope you continue writing this story, it's a gem. |
sihtepiw chapter 4 . 4/29/2016 Maybe I'm just so sucked in because someone is actually writing a sequel to my story, but this is perfect to me. You're doing an excellent job with the emotions that are swirling around in Ed and Edd and their interactions with the other characters and their family members. If you're still writing this, don't stop. It's freaking great. This to me is the official sequel. |
PenGator3 chapter 4 . 3/18/2016 Hey, are you still there? 'Cause I am and I've found that it's so far, so good; please continue. Hope Ed gets to chime in his two cents to Sarah. |
PenGator3 chapter 3 . 2/8/2016 I hope you get the next chapter up and running soon; this is too good... |
Guest chapter 3 . 1/27/2016 Keep up with this man, a good refresher from all the damn kevedd stories |
