So, reading this at 5am during exam season when I should be sleeping is maybe not the best idea but it's totally worth it for your great characterization, banter between Ed and Mustang, compelling plot, and just the way your write in general. I especially love his squad sticking up for him and vice versa.

Also I can't begin to describe how much it means to see and read about how Ed struggles with trauma (and how everyone is around is so caring). It makes it a lot easier to connect and I kind of think to myself "oh, maybe I can also get by" in my life.

Oh my god. I didn't expect to love this story as much as I do. I've been reading your RoyEd stories for a while, I love Reverti Ad Praeteritum, Colours in Your Eyes, From the Worst of Times, and Dreaming in Red and Gold. I was hesitant to read this one because of the DariusxEdxHeinkel relationship, but I gave it a shot anyway and I'm glad I did. I loved it and can't wait for the sequel to be posted. Any idea yet when that will be? I'll be anxiously waiting its posting. Until then I think I'm going to read this and your other RoyEd stories again.

Wait so Mustang saw the scars from the mine but he didn't ask? Is he going to ask? I don't think he'd let something slide like that. Otherwise I'm very much enjoying this story. I hope to see a sequel coming soon. I really want some more RoyxEd interaction and you said it's slow build and we won't see that until the next story.

I just reviewed the final chapter on Reverti Ad Praeteritum and have now completed my second of your stories and I have to say I'm in love with your FMA stories. Since this isn't the last of the series and I've gushed over your writing already this week (if you want more you'll have to write that next fic ;D but until then know that everything I said in the other about your writing style and character development holds true here as well.) I'm not going to leave a long review.
Instead I'm going to say that I love the characters in this fan fic and I'm nearly dying to see what happens next in particular if you're going to do anything with that incident with the Gate, the labs, the team. And of course what's Al's response going to be when he eventually finds out that a terrorist organization has been directly gunning for his brother and best friend, his brother's friends have died, he's practically in charge of national moral and the Alchemy labs and has been dragged through the gate again...
Me thinks Ed owes Al a cat.
