Wido4 chapter 3 . 4/24 It was alright, but there is a big error there. Wotan speaks incantations in latin, not in the baby-way known as backwards english. |
Loftcat27 chapter 6 . 11/13/2018 Great story! |

Viva Islenska chapter 6 . 8/27/2016 "And absolutely no roughhousing." Ahhh such a great story, I enjoyed it from start to finish! I thought all the characters were captured really well! Also, I love the image you uploaded for the story, did you make that? |

ARL15 chapter 6 . 2/28/2016 I loved every minute of this story! I know you say that you are not an author, but you do have a talent for writing! I would love to see another story from you in the fandom! Also keep drawing those awesome YJ/DC drawings of yours! Something I really loved about this story is you really split up the screen time well between all the Characters. Each character got their moment to stand out. Not to mention all the characters were perfectly in character! Robin, Artemis and KF are three of my favorite team members and I loved how we got to see them as total BA's rescuing the rest of the team. Robin taking charge and being the temporary team leader was awesome! Also I loved that Wally was forced to ride around on Wolf. Seriously, Wally charging around on Wolf were some of my favorite moments. Artemis was totally chill in your story and I wonder if anything actually phases her anymore. I don't remember if you mentioned if this story is after "Homefront", but it's awesome to see that Artemis' confidence has gotten better since joining the team. I just loved these three and I loved seeing them work together. The bromance between Robin and Wally in this story was epic and I loved seeing Wally freak out once Artemis and Robin were buried alive. Robin downplaying his injury not to worry Artemis was another favorite part of mine. It was great to see the team figure out this mission themselves, with not much help from the Justice League. I loved all the Robin whump in this! The plot was very intriguing, I loved how much action was in this! Seriously, the team couldn't catch a break with how much they had to deal with. You can tell you put a lot of thought into the plot. I like how this mission turned out to be a trap for the team and how we never really found out who Sportsmaster and Wotan were working for. Their were so many times when I wasn't sure which side they were on. Unpredictable villains are the best though! I really loved how you added in Wotan, he's not a character written enough in fanfiction! I thought you had a very strong ending! If it were up to me every ending would have a recovering Robin, with Daddybats and team bonding. So you really fulfilled my expectations with this ending! |
Black Friar chapter 6 . 2/20/2016 This completely fulfilled the ‘derailed mission’ theme of the contest and it was lovely to see the whole team involved. I thought everyone was very in character (especially Robin, Artemis and Wally) and loved that everyone got a moment to shine in some shape or form: Robin was so badass and take charge in directing Wally and Artemis after the other three were captured that you really got to see that he has being doing this the longest, despite being the youngest AND injured. Artemis was totally cool and collected under pressure (more so than Wally who kept freaking out a little…not that I don’t love Wally freakouts – I do. They’re very in character for him because he can be a bit of a drama queen), and she didn’t lose her cool when injured and buried beneath the building with Robin. Plus, she was so calm when she knew her and Robin couldn’t get out before the building blew – I was impressed. She’s grown since the events of Homefront. Wally got his moment to shine when he helped rescue his friends and take down Sportsmaster even though his leg was injured and he was forced to rely on Wolf to stay standing. Superboy and M’gann held up under torture and even afterwards, they helped dig the bad guys out of the rubble even though they were exhausted from everything. Kaldur was his usual controlled, badass self when everything was going to hell around him – and his calm approach to digging out his friends from the rubble showed exactly why he is the leader. The plot was also pretty cool. I liked that the mission ended up being a trap for the team and that they got themselves out of it without needing to be rescued. I know the League came at the end but by then the team were free and even found Robin and Artemis buried beneath the rubble. I thought the ‘being buried by the exploded building’ part was both cool and realistic because how many times in the show were the team caught in an explosion and yet never buried by the debris? Yours was way more realistic. There were also some nice moments of humour – particularly between Artemis and Wally – that added to the story overall and made it feel like it could have believably been an episode of the show. I also really enjoyed the Robin whump (because I am shameless in that regard!). To see how vulnerable he was, buried beneath the building with Artemis was kind of sweet because he was trying so hard to keep it together. Combine that with Wally and Batman’s concern (Batman was so concerned he flew with Superman!) when they finally saw how injured Robin was and I got all the H/C my heart desired. You also did some very nice writing when describing Robin’s injuries as I could really clearly visualize him pinned in place by the iron bar. The ending was tidied up very nicely. We got the team having a discussion after the mission, a little bit of daddybats (the pride in Bruce’s voice when talking to Dick made me squirm with happiness – I love when he shows pride in Dick’s ability because praise from Batman is rare), and a nice fluffy wind-down with the team at the end (Wally’s nerves when Batman opened the door were both hilarious and adorable!). Not to mention Bruce’s muttered and resigned “not again” when the team came to see Dick. I laughed so hard at that because I could totally picture it. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and thought it a great addition to the fandom. It was so nice to see the respect between each team member as they worked together while still keeping it real that they’re teenagers with the odd moment of sniping or humour. And you had a great handle on everyone’s character. There were a few spelling and grammar errors that you should watch for, but other than that this was a truly excellent fic. Well done. :) |
I am a Detective chapter 6 . 2/6/2016 dude this was fantastic! The team kicked butt and Robin was so great at leading Wally and Artemis after the others were captured. My favorite part was when the bilding blew up and Robin and artemis got trapped beneath. Great story. |
Aquarica chapter 6 . 2/4/2016 Aweeeeee LOVE the story. Nice ending. |
Just cause I read chapter 6 . 2/4/2016 This was a great story. It had humour, action, team building/bonding, Robin-in-peril, friendship, daddybats, some humour, Robin being a badass and so many feels! A couple of little spelling/grammar errors but I really enjoyed it. |
Nightmare in between chapter 6 . 2/3/2016 You know, sometimes it is easy to miss great stories like this if I am not following the writer (the Young Justice fandom is huge and I don't always check out the new stuff posting) but thank heavens for Black Friar's contest and the livejournal link. I would never have discovered this little gem without it and have literally just spent two hours engrossed in it. Wonderful stuff: lots of team bonding, some humour, interesting plot, lots of action and everyone was in character. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Just a tiny note though, you have a tendency to use full stops instead of commas during speech (for example, "you can't do that." He said) when full stops mean the end of a sentence (the correct format would be "you can't do that," he said). Just a note to watch out for and really hope we see more from you in the future! |
cantorahagedoorn chapter 6 . 1/29/2016 What a wonderful story! Very well written and I like how you portray the characters! Keep up the good work! |
