I really liked this one, man. I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve actually seen this episode so I’ve forgotten some of the context, but it wasn’t too hard to understand. And I liked how mature Patty and Barry both were being about it, she didn’t scream or suddenly throw herself into his arms, and he didn’t get angry or try and force some sort of declaration or kiss; they’re just two people agreeing to be truthful and to try and salvage their relationship in the process. Really nice work.

I'll be brief. It's fixes the stupid mess that the showrunners think melodrama BS garbage is the only way to tell stories and actually has Barry act like a mature adult by not having Patty walk away.

That whole thing reminds me o Sara and Oliver's break up on Arrow. Also fixes the whole thing of the actress leaving the show which is stupid in itself. maybe on of these days they will cast actors who can stay on the bloody show.

Yes! I like how you have Barry and Patty discussing ways each were at fault and each can improve. One thing I would've added is that he did admit his issues in dealing with his mother's death in the episode to her. Given that he did help her deal with her father's memory, shouldn't she help him too? Sorry I went on with that but I wanted to give you some ideas if you want to continue this or write another piece around that. I'm working on "Nightmare" right now and am planning a big Fix It fic soon. Thanks for sharing!

A really good fix-it fic, and one that was definitely needed after that god-awful mid-season premiere. WTF is wrong with these people and having the heroes have relationships that aren't uber-complicated and filled to the brink with melodramatic BS? Its like they have an aversion to actual storytelling. I can only blame the shows' airing on the CW for so long before its like, "You know what, its not the network, its the idiot showrunners." Because I've seen plenty of Vampire Diaries seasons to know that even the relationships on there aren't as complicated filled with melodramatic BS...

*coughs* Clearly I still have some issues on the episode myself... ANyways, very good one-shot. The way you have Barry decide to take a risk and the conversation between them was very good. I really enjoyed how you have him talk to Patty about how its not just her in this, its both of them. Something that honestly doesn't seem to happen on Flash or Arrow. Good work.
