Seriously, I always wonder what happened after Chell left - and to give her such a tragic ending, something she truly cannot beat. She fought endlessly, only to bring with herself a piece of the facility, a part, mentally and physically, the memories and the scars. But also the disease.
In this end, she can never truly escape Aperture.
