Drea85 chapter 4 . 4/26 I’m pretty sure this Bella is the mentally unstable bully in this story. She needs a Xanax and to chill out. I’m pretty sure Edward was mean literally once, then apologized. She is being weird and an asshole. Somehow this Bella is more obnoxious than any Bella ever. |
campyrsm chapter 42 . 3/22 This story was written so well. I enjoyed every chapter. Thank you so much! |
Rebecca Rowland chapter 22 . 11/25/2019 Just a quick little note: I was a bit confused with regard to the drinking issue. While I agree that parents' reactions to their 18 year olds drinking vary widely, it IS still technically illegal for them to consume alcohol (unless in the presence of a parent). It is really rather idiotic that we are considered an adult at 18 in the US but cannot buy alcohol (get married - check; fight a war - check; buy a house - check; give a kidney - check; buy a beer - X). |
Rebecca Rowland chapter 11 . 11/24/2019 I was thinking while reading the part where Bella and Edward are discussing his opinion of how 'evil' the students at the high school are that Bella should give him an assignment... I'd give him one week to listen to the thoughts of all the kids at the school and compile a list of the top 10 with the kindest thoughts. That way it would get him to focus on the fact that while everyone has their moments of darkness, there are also a great many moments of goodness. While I agree that pointing out that people should be judged on their actions rather than their thoughts, I think it would also help improve Edward's view of humans if he were to concentrate on the positives sometimes, too. ...just a thought ;) |
Rebecca Rowland chapter 10 . 11/24/2019 re: the end author's note I live in the US, and, while I fully acknowledge that I am far more liberal than the average American, I don't feel Charlie's attitude is that far out of the realm of possibility (though perhaps it is a bit out of character for Charlie). My daughter is 20 now, but my husband and I both were completely open and honest with her about sexuality (starting with a simple answer when she inquired at the ripe old age of 2 where babies came from). Long before it became an issue I had told her that while I would prefer she wait until she was out of high school, what mattered most to me was that she was smart about it when she did decide to take that step. While I offered to put her on the pill if she'd come to me when she thought she might be ready, I also insisted she use condoms (she ended up needing being put on the pill due to ovarian cysts when she was 15). The way I look at it is there is not much a parent can do to truly stop their teen from living his/her own life short of locking them behind bars, so it is better to educate them on safety and responsibility, keep the lines of communication open, and give them their wings (and then hope like heck you didn't screw them up too badly... lol). |
Rebecca Rowland chapter 5 . 11/24/2019 "Hey, Bella, I'm a vampire and you're my mate. Want to go to the movies with me? Also, you're my singer and it's possible I'll eat you..." - LMAO! |
rutujasande34 chapter 42 . 10/22/2019 Such a beautiful story. I just couldn't stop reading it. Everything is perfect. Kudos to writer. (Love~Rutu) |
sue1zide chapter 7 . 5/21/2019 Damn. Her inner dialogue was making me dizzy and confused. |
Beccaboo139 chapter 42 . 4/20/2019 I just finished the whole thing. I loved it. The angst, the love, the stress; you pulled me in and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I read it in 4 days (my job got in the way). I'd love to see more! |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 12 . 8/28/2018 Ah, your Bella is rightfully upset that Edward overstepped the boundaries by being in her room and watching her sleep. Good! I really like how Bella took time to Think about the pros and cons of being friends with the Cullens, rather than rushing into it. Edward is trying to to respect Bella's wishes-wow, what a change! He isn't as angry about the situation (their friendship) which is good. Love how Alice spent time with Bella and managed to throw out the "mates" word. So interesting that James and Victoria were dealt with without Bella being involved with that problem. I think that I am like a few others believing Charlie wouldn't be so calm and accepting in discovering that Bella and Edward had been in her bedroom alone. Since Bella hadn't any friends, I kind of wonder if Charlie would briefly think Edward was taking advantage of her alone status? Charlie adores Alice though. |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 7 . 8/26/2018 Nothing like getting Bella to talk about "Romeo & Juliet" to make her forget her inner mental arguing and outward awkwardness. Well played Alice! |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 5 . 8/26/2018 Good to read Edward's POV. He did go into her room, at least once. Nothing like snooping. Surprised that Edward was able to stay away from Bella so long during the summer. Wonder how the separation is affecting Bella? |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 4 . 8/26/2018 Poor Bella is suffering from those nightmares and hot dreams of Edward, and she is likely to blow a fuse at the slightest provocation. Snort! Referring to Edward or his Kind Twin is funny. Well, the Cullens figure out how to draw Bella into their family by enticing Bella to earn extra credits working with Carlise. How handy that Edward just shows up at the hardware store and Bella almost, almost, accepts his offer to go to Port Angeles with him. Alice must've been gnashing her teeth at this near possibility! And Edward just brings Carlise his forgotten lunch right when Bella is in the waiting room with Charlie. No wonder she is paranoid! Really nice that Bella and Charlie actually spend father/daughter time in your story and develop a closer relationship. He was always off at the station or fishing, leaving Bella alone in the original story. |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 3 . 8/26/2018 Great chapter! If Bella is having her Edward dreams/nightmares, does this mean that Edward is lurking in her bedroom, watching her sleep? If this Bella finds out that he is in her room without permission, I think she will be quite angry compared to the original Bella. And an angry Bella is quite the hissing, spitting cat when it comes to Edward. It's hilarious that he acts afraid and jumpy when she turns on him. No wonder Emmett and Jasper are having a grand time watching the Bella/Edward romance play out! So, the family does know about Alice's visions? Poor Alice , she so wants to talk to Bella, but changes direction when Bella thinks she will come over to talk. They are getting antsy with summer break approaching, trying to come up with a way to get Bella involved with their family. Hey, Carlise, now is your chance to help your bumbling son and panicking daughter. Ha! Love that Bella says Edward is acting a 5 year old and he pouts. Her attack on him in the hall was wild; Edward backed up against the lockers while everyone watches. No matter what Edward says, it sets Bella off. Funny. Yet something inside of her fears not seeing or hearing from him. Good that she stood up to Lauren, and Lauren must've got an earful from angry Edward. Why was Jasper standing so close to Bella? A way to draw attention to what was happening to Lauren? Ah, even though she is frightened by Rosalie, Bella learns how to develop her death glare from her! Great writing. |
LaurelLeafSinger chapter 2 . 8/26/2018 Really love your story! I feel so bad for poor Alice. Within seconds, Edward botched the whole future Alice had been seeing for years! She had been waiting for the time Bella would finally appear and join in their lives. Alice tries to engage Bella, but she is cooley stand off-ish. Poor disappointed pixie! I really would love to see another chapter in Alice's POV to learn the havoc going on in the Cullen family due to Alice's vision being railroaded! Edward is really having a difficult time, too. Good! Let him work to gain Bella's good graces. Haha. I do like that Bella is stronger and capable in your story due to the change in her first meeting with Edward in biology. Questions: When Tyler has the car accident and Bella just walks away safely and pretty much unconcerned, the Cullens are all staring at her. I can understand Alice staring and confused, as she would've seen a different scenario originally, but why the other Cullens? Has Alice told them about Bella and her visions by this time? Also, was Jasper trying to soften Bella up with his gift while at the library, when Alice was desperate to earn Bella's friendship? And did his influence not work on Bella? Was that why Jasper looked "baffled"? I think Jasper would be the best one to get a sense of Bella's feelings toward his family. Obviously, Bella is fascinated by Edward but everything is totally messed up. He sure doesn't like her calling him "Cullen"! Great writing. |
