Honestly dude, im not gonna lie here.
This shit fucking sucks.
Why? Well for one, you have the battle between Gehrman and the Hunter playing out like something out of a shitty shounen anime. Secondly, you severely underpower the Hunter. By the end of the game, he could easily defeat anybody in the RWBYverse, especially if you go with the third ending, which your hunter only did halfway, most likely because you couldn't think of another way for him to end up on Remnant, and even with the way you did it, it still makes no sense. His personality is more akin to that of an naive 15 year oldcough* Ruby *coughwhen he, like any human being that has experienced things like mass killing and dying multiple times, should be atleast slightly jaded and ruthless yet efficient, while also thinking logically instead of shouting all the time and being over emotional. All in all, if this were a Fate crossover instead with Shiro instead of the Hunter, it would make sense, because he is much more like what your portrayal of the Hunter is, than what the hunter actually should be.

Please, for the love of God, bever write anything involving Bloodborne again.

This chapter genuinely made me impressed. David recounting the beginning of his journey in Yharnim was definitely the star of this chapter since it takes into account what you have to do in the game realistically if you were an actual Hunter. Incorporating David's vivid and detailed memory into story telling format was brilliant because it provides the cast with an idea of what David is and how he came to be and immerses the reader into David's situation as if they are there. Due to David's story, his actions can be openly justified/criticized and leaving many people open to interpretation of his character and methods of survival. Damn fine job Fume Knight!

I don’t understand their reaction. In real life, most people wouldn’t even question killing the beasts. Also, the sheer stupidity of anyone thinking capturing the beasts is better boggles the mind. Killing them was already described as difficult for someone with basically superhuman abilities, capturing even one would be extremely hard for a hunter, even several.

Then there is holding them. Where would those students suggest? The beasts have superstrength, so there aren’t many options and most of those would either be collapsed or full of horrors. What would they be fed? He explained what they eat so, who do the kids think should be fed to the captured beasts? Because it would always be “who”, not “what”. Oooh, I see, they want the beasts to be fed Old Blood. Because making them mutate further into giant juggernauts of mass destruction is the perfect solution and everyone will live happily ever after.

Of course, the brats also don’t consider the fact they are advocating locking people up to suffer in the horror of their mutated existence indefinitely. Wow, how “merciful”. Because them being killed by anyone would make those little shits feel bad. Well, I’m sure the victims would be ever so relieved to know their endless nightmare would continue for such a good and worthy cause as ensuring those kids don’t feel bad. Because that would be just terrible.

And, apparently self-defense is okay for those kids so long as the assailant is not harmed. Which is, y’know, the opposite of self-defense. They have the childish mentality that whoever is hurt the most is who they should sympathize with and defend. Completely ignoring the situation.

I look forward to reality slapping them in the face. Maybe the hunter can finally snap and give them a verbal beatdown informing them of the value of their complaints and opinions about killing beasts.

Wow, does he need rest. Not good that he's missing the action, though. I hope you update soon, I really enjoy this story.
