Hmm I was expecting a more broken Lucius after the first few chapters in mostly Narcissa’s perspective. It’s just me hoping for angst between Hermione and our leading man I guess

Ugh I find it hard to believe Lucius would think little to not at all about his wife. Although he has become emotionally constipated asiff he doesn’t feel some sort of loss after decades of affection and companionship. S

Never thought I would feel so disappointed and disgusted in Lucius. I don’t believe even in his suffering and loss of self and any will in life that he would feel absolutely no affection still for his wife. Narcissa did the right thing by her and walked away.
But I get it, for sake of HxL, they must come to an end.

Ugh this was so painful to read. My heart really goes out to Narcissa. Personally, a marriage like their is so special. Their union was forced but through time and mutual respect they came to live each other so this is so is so heart wrenching

Narcissa is a respectable woman, prideful but will put her family above all else.

I remember reading this long ago and felt like re-reading and I must say I feel every word more impactfully and sympathise with the characters. You really do Narcissa justice.
