I can't believe that I never noticed that the other characters didn't know they were in the Ghost zone.
So purple man, and the 6 green look alike ghosts are all different ghosts. The camera ghosts are separate from the purple man too.

How many ghosts are involved in this plot?

How did a group of ghosts as large as this (presumably large group, considering purple man's comments about "turns") every get along well enough to coordinate a plan this major?

I've just finished this, and let me tell you, I binged it in like 3 days and I am typically the type that waits until the end to comment so here I am.
1: I hope you continue cause I got to know what the fuck is going on with Amity. GIW shut everything down?! WTF?!
2: I called the ghost zone thing a few chapters ago, near the beginning really because when Maddie was talking about how the last transmission was just over the gulf coast I remembered when Forstbite explained about the ghost zone and its portals, he mentioned that the Bermuda Triangle was the most active (and prolific) of all naturally occurring zone portals. And seeing as the zone exists kind of outside of time, a natural portal can open to the zone and then again out in a completely different time. (The show had a plane in the triangle disappear than reappear with dinosaurs). So I was like, they totally flew into the zone and came out in some weird pocket dimension or random ass branch of the zone and the portal was hidden in the green freaky storm. That's why the only the animals seen (other than an offhand mention of a crow) has been a ghost wolf and cobra snake. Right?
I still fucking love it and hope you continue so fucking bad because while I called that the rest I have no idea and HAVE JUST GOT TO KNOW, OKAY?!
