It probably wasent the best idea to intimidate that innocent man as Elsa may catch on and hurt the development of trust. Plus buying him off may be better as they will realize from his terrified demeanor that he was intimidated into doing this, plus there isn't any harmful information in those files. If he intimidated or bribed him to never give info again that would make more sense.

A pity James had to reveal a lot to beat that templar, but plans are fickle things and life often smashes our expectations to the ground.

James must be using a very dull sword. While the slash to the thigh could be done with the tip of the sword the hand should have come clean off unless he used a draw cut or was using a rapier, which isn't a good choice of sword in my opinion as the blade is only useful for dueling against other rapiers and in keeping you opponent at a distance. You cant really control the amount of damage you do with a swing like that as you need to be fast which produces force. I suppose the draw cut and sword choice makes it possible but cutting the hand off would certainly help in scarring the bandits away. Though it would probably be better that he kill them and the guards are left out of the loop as word would spread slower than if they were left in. He could even lie and say he bought them off as that would arouse less attention.

This is REALLY GOOD! I'm seeing this guild of the Brotherhood James is building becoming something akin to an early version of the "Secret Service" for the Arendelle Royal family with duties ranging from personal protection, espionage, and covert-ops(including assassination if need-be).

OMG! This is such an awesome start! As I read, I could hear the Lindsey Stirling version of the AC theme! If you've never seen/heard it, look for "Assassin's Creed III-Lindsey Stirling" on you tube! She is such an amazing talent! She did ALL of the vocal and violin tracks of the video herself!
