So, Cedric does leave the castle (with a tearful goodbye from sofia) and goes on a soul searching journey. In which he makes actual, supporting friends (his own age) and uncovers as well as tames his own very powerful magic (it has to be powerful if it could influence the amulet). It being so powerful is the reason he had such a hard time getting his spells to work. He makes quite a name for himself. And then disaster strikes enchancia calling him back... thats all i got

Oh boy I'd love this to unfold into a larger story.

"Please... Sofia."... It's amazing how two simple words have so much power to get you down from the sky and whip you hard on the ground.

I hope you revisit this story at some point in the future and are inspired to add into it. Either as a chapter story or an epilogue taking place at the same timeframe add the future he was shown. I like the feeling of hope and will think that Cedric did give up his pursuit and pushed the rest of what the seer said out of his head.

Ablosutely incredible story! I like his disbelief to the seer even after he had seen the future. They both ended up broken and empty. losing whatever good they had. Yes, it would have made a great multi fic story with his struggle to avoid this kind of future and deal with their potential love.

Why does King Cedric's future remind me so much of the song "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace? My gosh it takes the song to a whole new dark place when you think of it in this aspect.

you should make this into a chapter story. maybe having cedric figure out how to get sofia to give up her amulet or if he still wants it...something like that.

Whoa. How did I miss this. So dark and sad. I can almost she his dark eyes turning with pain, fear astonishment. Lovely!
