I wanted to read something like that for some time now...
Especially after The exile episode where Athos stays with the baby for a time (or take him to Constance)...

What a sweet story. The image of Athos and a tiny infant gives me warm and fuzzy feelings. :)

was truly beautiful and I found myself smiling to heartwarming and lovely to read of Athos's softer side.

I really loved the fact that it was Athos who Took charge and had experience with babies-that image of him bathing the infant was just so sweet. And the final scene-Christmas peace! What a beautiful story. A Christmas miracle indeed. I hope somewhere that poor woman knows her baby will be okay. I love the image Athos caring for the baby. Never underestimate our swordsman. And, of course, Serge would have a goat. Why would I ever think otherwise.

You so beautifully pull the reader into the scene as though we are at the movie theatre watching it on screen, rather than reading it on our computers. This was a bittersweet tale that tears between the mother who died and the childless couple who will raise the child; and the lovely scene of Athos so tenderly caring for the baby... I Loved it!
