Yeah, Ben, that was kinda stupid and extremely tactless. You just said that the Jedi Ways were gone. Why would it matter if there was a blaster? Especially in a time where civilization consisted of clone wannabes and cowed citizens. Heck, if Kanan didn't have a blaster he could have been ousted at anytime. Anyone could make and use a lightsaber if they hacked the Jedi Archives. That was Ezra's pride: his proof that he was Kanan's proud Padawan and Son. It entirely reflects him. To reject it is to reject him.
