:) this was SUPER cute. like how all their parents pretty much adopted all three boys as family. and how understanding they all were with the animagus thing.

I doubt that Pettigrew gave them the creeps. If it were that easy to spot that there was something off about him the Potters never would have used him as their secret keeper. In retrospect the fact that he was a rat Animagus was a pretty big clue to his character, but everybody missed it. In fact, it was easier to detect that there was something off, something creepy, about their own son since anyone who observed Remus closely over the course of several months was able to figure out that he was a werewolf. Sirius, James, Lily and Snape all figured out his secret. And Lyall was suspicious of Fenrir Greyback after just one encounter. You should be able to detect something off about a werewolf. All they ever saw of Pettigrew was that he was a short, dumpy, shy, easily intimidated, very average kid who kinda blended into the background and easily went unnoticed, almost as though he wore a permanent notice-me-not charm. He was a bit of a momma's boy since he usually spent his vacations with her instead of joining the other Marauders. Oh, and he was easily entertained and appreciative of the antics of James and Sirius. He wouldn't have come across as creepy, he would have come across as pathetic because he didn't seem as smart or as magically capable as the other Marauders, especially James and Sirius, and he frequently needed help to keep up with the other Marauders. He also comes across as nervous in the movies, but he's in pretty stressful situations in most of those scenes. Around the Marauders his nervousness wouldn't be nearly as evident.
