One of the things that sold me on these two is how well they complement each other. And not from the tired old "opposites attract" point of view - after all, they are anything but opposites except in a most superficial sense - but in the sense that each of them has different ways of coping, offering each other a new angle to look at themselves.

Bit of an issue with the beginning. There is some strong imagery there and it can overwhelm a casual reader. It's almost like a shock effect, but it doesn't work well with the overall subdued, almost melancholy atmosphere. An atmosphere which, by the way, was beautifully carried through later.

I loved how the status of their relationship was left hazy and was only hinted at. It dovetails nicely with the overall feel of the story.

It isa great piece, one that I enjoyed very much, but I must say the beginning was a bit confusing. The words tangled on themselves just to describe a simple action or expression. In between the description of the environment that surrendered them and their reaction to it it was a bit of a mouthful but once their conversation started the rest flowed.
I understand the need of more sophisticated words when one is serious about writing but sometimes simpler words work just as well.
But never the less it was a wonderfully innocent yet intimate moment and the only moment I feel Raven out of character is when Beast Boy takes her hand and she complies with the same action without argument. Perhaps they are already and a relationship or in the brink of it or perhaps it's implied and I missed the hints, either way it was lovely, please keep writing.

BB is lucky. Women usually aren't attracted to guys who have self doubts. Raven is right, though. He needs to focus on who he is and not on being like others.
