Absolutely beautiful! The fact that Solo starts doubting Illya and that, afterwards, what Illya has done in the past doesn't matter at the end is very heart-warming. Amazing job!

Well I must admit that this chapter surprised me in a great way. I was really expecting something with more action and definitely not from Napoleon's POV. However I loved it, the way all those initial chapters lead to this while also going back to that sentence from the film, which I hadn't considered twice. Now it has a new meaning for me. Well now I suppose this is the end, I hope there weren't many mistakes in my reviews.

Definitely worth the wait! This ending was perfect! I just got the dvd and watched it last night. The "Don't killl..." line is one of my favorites!

Oh now I'm so looking forward to the last chapter... I really enjoyed this, and it's actually the first thing I've read after my finals The fact that he would kill someone due to his bad treatment of Anna was predictable, but there were some interesting details. The part were Sokolov realised that Illya in fact cared about the elderly woman was my favourite. Also the connection you're making between this chapter and the film storyline is great. And of course the seasoned agent, who had recently lost his beloved grandmother is the perfect ending.

I loved this chapter. Sweet Ilya becoming enraged, protective Ilya. Your Oleg seems to be a very nice guy – I’m dying to see his observations about Ilya and Solo during and after the movie. The first partner Ilya hasn’t killed – now I can’t wait for Oleg and Solo to have a private chat about that. Thank you so much for writing this great story and keep up the fantastic work!

I’m really enjoying this story! I somehow missed chapter 4, but I’m so glad I found it. Your writing (of the whole series) is superb, the visuals are detailed and flow so smoothly into the story. I LOVED how you highlighted Illya’s intelligence and his ability to integrate into whatever group he’s trying to infiltrate. I found Ilya’s line in the movie when he’s critiquing Solo’s outfit choice for Gaby very interesting – it highlighted his intelligence and analytical skills (which doesn't seem to happen that often in the fanfiction).

And I really, really liked how Ilya spoke in broken, heavily accented German even though he’s fluent. I would love to see if the same applies to his English, and he just hasn’t revealed it to the others yet. Future fic? : )

Thank you for sharing this! It hasn't been my favourite chapter so far but it's been great to read this story again. Really looking forward to the time he didn't kill his partner and lots of love for the writer because this is some really good story.

At first I thought the ending of this was too short and it felt almost strangled, but now I realize that's exacly what's happening inside Illya. It sounds and feels right. Your last sentence gives me hope that this new shade of guilt will colour one of your next stories about Illya. And think of the possibilities - a certain Russian steering a power boat, a certain American falling off, that look in his eyes changing from incredulity to panic... hmhm... ?
