Great story! We call a Hanukkah menorah a Hanukkiah as well in the US. One year I got my son a large Mylar balloon of a pig as one of his presents as that was what he wanted. I reasoned that some of desecration caused by pigs being run through the Temple, made pigs part of the holiday kosher or not. It was only after cleaning up the Temple that the small amount of oil was found so pig images work on Hanukkah. I'd also support your reasoning on Winnie the Pooh characters. I've only said Hag Samaech for a holiday, never heard someone say Chanukah Samaech, maybe that is a UK thing? B'Shalom Kali

Absolutely love it. Not knowing anything about the
Jewish faith, I believe this is a beautiful story about
the sharing of the joys of tradition and family.
