I love your use of prose, gentle yet deliberate, like the stroke of an artist's hand on a canvas... Beautiful fic. I love the ending with Leia's perspective; it gives it a bittersweet yet soft edge :')

The emotional weight between the characters is so real and moving and brilliantly captured. What I've like about Finn and Rey is that despite the hardships of their past, they are genuinely warm and loving personalities. They started off from different points of origin, but are true equals in mutual respect and trust for one another.
It is so gratifying to see a well expressed Finn/Rey pairing here. Much has been written about Rey/Kylo which is not bad in itself, but it seems to imply that it is more interesting than Finn/Rey which is absolutely not true.

This story was absolutely beautiful. I loved the movie and have been a Star Wars fan since I was a little boy back in 1977. That movie was great also. I'm strictly a Finn and Rey shipper and it was funny when I when to see this with my wife and kids. I'm Black and my wife is White and one guy in line remarked how we could dress up like them for this year's Trick or Treating. I told him that was already in the works because we dressed up like John Stewart and Shayera Hol last year. I don't know if you're familiar with the old Justice League cartoon back in the early 2000's but everyone thought we were a hoot. Like I said this story was great because you captured what I thought of both Finn and Rey in the movie. Please keep on making wonderful stories like this and you have yourself a Happy New Year. I can't wait for Episode 8 next year.

Perfect, beautiful, etc. Leia is an interesting vantage to view Finn/Rey from but it works well. Great writing. I hope to see more of this pairing from you. :)

another superb chapter!

This change in perspective for the final chapter actually makes sense. In one of my previous reviews, I mentioned how Han was a sort of father figure to Finn and Rey. By extension, I see Leia becoming a sort of surrogate mother for them. And it's only fitting that she'd see herself and Han when she looks at Finn at Rey. I mean, that's one of the great ironies of The Force Awakens. We get the burgeoning relationship between Finn and Rey, but Han and Leia's relationship is destroyed, and in the most cruel way, too. Anyway, I have very much enjoyed this fic.
