chucksboxers chapter 1 . 6/30/2019 Well fit into the story line - I really enjoyed this! |
ne71 chapter 1 . 2/9/2019 I don't know how I missed this the first time around, but I was poking through some older stories and found it today. What a terrific oneshot - I love the way you write these two together, in just about any circumstance. But here you manage to give us this moment between them that fits so perfectly into the storyline of the episode, keeping the relationship canon but expanding on it more. The line that really did it for me was "The scars left from the first time were wounds once more." That is just amazing - poetic. And I also loved Chuck's way of letting Sarah know she's the one he wants, and then letting her off the hook when she can't reciprocate. Beautiful. Always a fan of your stories, and this is no exception. Thanks for writing it. Nick |
Cary chapter 1 . 9/8/2016 Very good in-depth look at the moments between the episodes. Thank you. |
baldcoder chapter 1 . 6/9/2016 Nice story. Well done. |
cavemenftw chapter 1 . 4/7/2016 That was excellent. Thank you for that. |
WvonB chapter 1 . 12/31/2015 Another lovely piece of work. Delicate and subtle. Sad yet hopeful. When Sarah says "She isn't the girl for you," it says so much, in so few words, about her inner conflict, the things she would like to say but can't. Very touching. Thank you so much. |
SK chapter 1 . 12/25/2015 I'm really wishing this was in the show... This is a great story, a bit angsty towards the end, but realistically it's what would have been going on in Chuck's head. You've written another great piece of work here, and I would urge you to never stop writing for this fandom. These stories are how we, the fans, keep Chuck alive; while adding a depth to Chuck and Sarah's relationship that the show never could. Great work. Can't wait for the next one. |
Garnetflint chapter 1 . 12/23/2015 Another great story that adds to canon and I would have loved to see this scene on TV. I really appreciate the work that you have continued to do to keep the Chuck flame burning. |
gombek69 chapter 1 . 12/21/2015 Another great story Karen! I love how you write all the feels and emotions... |
Rob M chapter 1 . 12/21/2015 Great little moment in-between the moments story, and it really encompasses where their relationship was at this point. Chuck knowing Sarah cares about him as more than just an asset...but not knowing just what that means, he's still running into her walls... ...and Sarah, more an more, wanting Chuck, but because of both personal and professional obstacles, she dosnt know if she can ever have him...so she rides the line between enjoying what she can get and trying not to give him false hope. I know you hear this a lot, but as always..well done |
tut1971 chapter 1 . 12/21/2015 You know, you may need to stop writing/posting fics on this site. Because frankly, I'm running out of superlatives to describe the awesomeness of everything you do. Like seriously. This was a great little unseen snapshot of a "dark" period during the best season of the show. You rock. |
Dromaeo Prod chapter 1 . 12/21/2015 It's really sweet, well done ! :) |
wilf21 chapter 1 . 12/21/2015 I really enjoyed this short piece. It added a lot to the bare bones of that part of the actual episode and was, as ever, beautifully written. Thank you for continuing to write Chuck fics. |
sevenrez chapter 1 . 12/20/2015 Thanks that was an awesome example of their connection. It is always great to read your work! |
resaw chapter 1 . 12/20/2015 You know what I love about your writing? Everything! It's like your readers can see straight into Chuck's soul through your words. His deeply troubled, and deeply romantic soul. And through Chuck, we can see who Sarah is. Speaking of Sarah, that little Jackie Chan joke was nice. I wouldn't have been surprised if Sarah didn't know, but the fact that she played off of her reputation as a pop culture know-nothing to have some fun with Chuck...and to lighten his melancholy mood, was brilliant and imaginative. "You wouldn't be you if it was easy." Another one of those lines when, even if Chuck just screwed up, Sarah recognizes that it comes from his fundamentally good character, which endears him to her even more. Lucky guy. He is slowly, inexorably winning her over even when, and perhaps sometimes especially when, he screws up. "It isn't weakness to long for a time when you were happy..." I imagine Sarah can say the same thing about herself, and with Chuck in her life, even if only in a limited fashion, she has gained some of that happiness, some of that humanity she has also longed for. Chuck sees that, of course, as you have him think of reaching out his hand to her. Again, great stuff. It feels like it flow organically as the story unfolds. Good for Chuck (and Sarah!) for "getting that out there...into the cosmos." She may have to reject it, but she wants to hear it as much as Chuck wants to say it. What a great brief interlude to read. Thank you so much. This is a very much appreciated Christmas present! |
