Well, like last time I have to say that I really enjoyed reading this and am admittedly curious about the sequel mentioned in the authors note and whether it’s development has continued at all (must have missed the bite last time). I distinctly remember having both a lot of fun and frustration for the science focused parts, but having finished 11th grade this year and having taken a chemistry class, it was amazing getting to reread this with a much better understanding of the various chemical/nuclear reactions mentioned, like the necessity of hydrogen in fusion and the lack of technology currently to be capable of using it as an energy source or even something as simple as recognizing elements and the importance of protons in particular when it came to elements. Reading this again with a better understanding was a lot of fun and also proved just how knowledgeable you were on the topics, even managing to create theoretical ideas with proven/unproven knowledge in real world science. I really admire what you did with this with the knowledge, as well as the development of metal and Sonics relationship. In particular, I liked seeing metals thought process as he tries to fulfill his primary directive, All the while managing to think outside the box regarding it so much that while the simple idea the directive was based on was eggman telling him to kill sonic, metal managed to reroute this from the direct definition of neutralize and the many interpretations language can take from a single word. This along with the struggle to define themselves made for a brilliantly designed character development for both metal and sonic, metal with directives and copy complex and sonic with being confronted by his ideals, truths and what he considered to make up his identity as they all were changed or destroyed, shown through his struggle to hold onto what ‘sonic the hedgehog’ represented as his self image furthers itself from that simple idea of ‘him’. All in all, I really did enjoy this, both from the complexity and the relationship metal and sonic manage to create (always laughed at the upgraded friends bit, lovely way to call it), I really do hope that I’ll find more fanfictions out there like this one so thank you so much for writing this!

This is amazing! I binge-read the whole thing in 4 hours starting at midnight. I can't wait for the sequel to come out. There are so many amazing new dynamics. I would love to see Tails' reaction to Sonic's partial robotocization (is that how you spell it?). [I also wanna know if he agrees with Metal on the fact that Sonic needs to start eating metals.] This is just an amazing story and I can tell the sequel will be just as good. Maybe even better!

First off, wonderful fic! The emotional growth and character development in this has been wonderful to see up until now. Aside from this, I’ve gotta say that I feel pretty happy that I guessed right! In the first chapter, when we saw the first priority of MS being to ‘neutralize’ sonic, I had already thought that that would be the loophole making MS not try to kill sonic, or at least justify it; seeing my guess get proven 16 chapters laters is ridiculously satisfying! I can’t wait to see how developments continue from here, and hopefully we’ll get to see nega get his ass kicked!

Searching through every possible combination might of worked, if you did not factor the fact that stuff moves in the universe all the time. Someone in that time might of nick the emerald and move it to some other part of the universe you have already searched.

This story is f ()cking awesome

This was amazing. I'm really looking forward to the sequel, but would be content with the story as it is if that somehow doesn't work out. There is one thing I would, or rather wouldn't, want to see in the sequel. Of course, I want Sonic and Metal to end up happy together and safe, but everyone wants that. What I specifically don't want to happen is for Sonic to go back to "normal." I think is partial roboticism is something really special about this story and it allows him to better relate to Metal, and makes him a more interesting character overall. Additionally, due to Metal being essentially immortal with proper maintenance, it gives me hope of them being able to spend a longer time together than a normal Mobian's lifespan would allow.

Of course, these are just my insane ramblings, and I do not mean to try to tell you how o write. I know that anything major like that is probably already planned out, and I'll be happy with whatever the sequel brings. I just didn't think it would hurt to share that one thought.
