Aninimouse chapter 1 . 8/30/2019 I love the way you write Ron. Something about your version of him really jumps out of the page. |
Snarky64 chapter 1 . 8/25/2016 Well done on executing this so well, as averse as you are to it. Brava! Love all the sensuous detail, as always. This Hermione, who taught Hugo to count cards and distracts Ron from his mounting tantrum with sex - it seems this would be her own Slytherin side. Verree interestink! Interesting ideas - good fic! |
SilverStarwolfe chapter 1 . 2/28/2016 Perfectly executed. This was truly an amazing read. I could feel Ron's irrational fear at his son being sorted into Slytherin. But yet I could see the way the that he knew deep inside that it was always a possibility. This was wonderful from start to finish and I can't say more to praise the way you've brought both the characters and their feelings to life. |
regbride12 chapter 1 . 12/28/2015 Awww interesting! I mean I don't think R/Hr would be thrilled to see any of their 2 kids in Slytherin...Hermione would take it a bit better than Ron I believe but otherwise I think it would be hard to swallow; yet eventually, they would accept it. Great job! |
malebron chapter 1 . 12/13/2015 So you put these words flat on the page or the screen - here they are, I can see them in front of me. Then without warning they out jump out and catch, sharp like claws, or expand as I watch them, to become more than they first appear. Hermione may be clever with cards and buttons but has Ron forgotten what a strategist he is (or was), himself; the master of Wizard Chess? Wonderful. Merry Christmas. :) |
JeanAndBilius chapter 1 . 12/13/2015 Excellent! Unusual! |
neither here nor ethere chapter 1 . 12/13/2015 So great. I'm partial to the line with the metal tree of jewelry - that image is perfection in and of itself, and it also evokes the eerie play park Harry visits in the books, which is a bonus. I like Hugo the card shark. Quite a bit, actually. I think I know that kid. And Ron, whose rant is not so cutting that Hermione can't let it ride, who remembers and is still shaken by the thought that he could have lost his wife. One wonders if that is what he thinks about every time she snuggles into her ratty, comfort pajamas. The fact that she is wearing them makes me wonder - does she wear them every time they are clean? Or did this note, or Ron's reaction to it, make her grab for them? There are many different threads you could pick up here, and I sort of Hope you can put the "never" aside! |
Intervigilium chapter 1 . 12/13/2015 One would think you have favoUred this relationship your entire life, writing them in this situation as realistically as they could possibly be. ;) I think I love her absolute dominance of the dialogue above all things, and I enjoyed it all thoroughly. Incredible, incredible writing. *applauds* |
camillablue chapter 1 . 12/13/2015 "A man knows the acoustics of his bedroom." and everything that follows in this paragraph is gorgeous. What a response to your prompt. Beautiful as always :) |
