Reviews for Like They Didn't Fall in Love
MimixIshidax chapter 1 . 1/7/2016
Awwww I really REALLY enjoyed this. I love that it was written in kind of a messy way (whether that was by default or design I'll never know) because it captured the mood of this story really well- their relationship wasn't easy and it wasn't conventional and it wasn't all near and tidy. But it was real. I love angsty Yamato (and by extension angsty mimato) so I loved the middle where he was so angry she was gone and everyone kept thinking he'd get over it but he knew he wouldn't Coz he was in love. And i found myself increasingly hoping for more and more as I read. I wish the end was more dialogue-y but that's about it. I thought this was wonderful and I do hope to read more from you in the future! Keep up the good work :)
masollan chapter 1 . 12/14/2015
This was an entirely different narrative format, and I actually enjoyed that despite some moments I have to reread. I love love love how you portrayed 'teenage love' here too, the premise is simple but the style and the multiple voices you used here actually was so effective to give me that 'it's so fucking complicated but fuck it I'm gonna do it anyway' vibe from Yamato. It sold well on me. Great job Mira! I can't wait for your next works! - Emma
Scripturiens chapter 1 . 12/12/2015
I'm in tears omg. The first half made me roll on the bed and mutter incoherences into my pillow and by the end, I was in happy tears because "fuck. that". This was brilliant Mira, at times winding and at times a bit repetitive but I kinda did like the emphasis and how angry Yamato is about it all and about how people misunderstood the whole thing. Beautiful!
