normally I avoid fics with mostly OC's, BUT THIS WAS AMAZING! seriously your brownies won me over sooo quickly, I love them! I really really like this fic, it's just soo good 3 I'm going to wait a while, but I'm really looking forward to rereading this :D

I really enjoyed this. I love stories where the Durins survive and this is one of the more unique ones I have read. I only wish there had been a bit more detail about the twins, Daphne and Aleks, and how they met Thorin and his company, as well as the full story of why Thorin and the others went to Faerie. I kind of got the gist- I assume Daphne was in Middle Earth, Bofur fell in love, and after the BOFA the dwarves found their way to faerie to rescue her, bringing her back to Middle Earth and into hiding. Still, I love the sweet and feisty brownies and their relationships with their host families and the Durins.

This is like, my third time reading this story and I love it even more each time!

I thought this was a lovely story when I read it on last year. You did an outstanding job! Usually, I stear clear of OCs, especially romantic ones, because they are usually horribly Mary Suish, but you did a wonderful job with your brownies that I fell in love with each of them - they are a far, far cry from being even remotely Mary Suish!

Though I have a suggestion that might make Fili's romance with clove a little more acceptable...Tolkien states that Durin was laid alone, so where did he get his family line? In my own version of middle earth, the fay exists (though fairies aren't quite the malevolent creatures like yours, though I suppose I should better say that in my version of events, the Unseely and Seely courts are in Middle Earth, so you've got good and bad - and the pixies are the wild cards in the middle, but I digress) Anyway, if we're introducing fay to Middle Earth, I'd always suspected that it made more sense that Durin's wife was a fairie - or a pixie, or a brownie lol; after all, with as far apart as the dwarves were, it would take quite some time before the children of the other couples would have found each other, right? *winks* wouldn't it be interesting to come across a long lost dwarvish history scroll that tells this tale?

I'd look foward to more stories! Perhaps Fairy could attack again? Oooh - you could give me a Thorin whump! story - say a powerful fairy queen is angry at Thorin's interference and kidnaps him back to fairy or just whumps him and the others have to work to save him lol Or she sets up shop in Middle Earth - perhaps in Mirkwood or the far north - maybe she's a version of the snow queen? lol I'm a sucker for Thorin stories where he's heroic and not just a stuck up prick like so many people make him out to be - I love it when he's being protective and noble and a strong leader, not just a pig-headed stubborn fool who won't listen to reason *grins*

Anyway, than you for sharing this! I did thoroughly enjoy it and I hope you have many more ideas in the works!
