MysteriousGirl92 chapter 1 . 1/26/2018 Thank you for SO MUCH for making Tails realise his mistake. I wish 'Lost World' did something like this (the apology, that is). :D |
InsaneDutchGirl chapter 1 . 6/11/2016 Great story! I absolutely love the fluency in your writing, something like that isn't easy to obtain. You looked behind the characters of the game and went into depth on what they might think and feel if a confrontation like this might actually have happened. The Sonic/Tails part was perfect. Sweet fluff between two brothers. One understanding, desperately wanting to keep his little brother close and the way he used to be. Being hurt because his brother at first didn't understand the hurt he caused his older brother with his behaviour. A younger brother trying to live up to his hero, but losing himself while trying to grow up too fast. Beautiful, amazing, perfect! You used just the right words. But what really got to me, and what I think makes this story a one of a kind, is Metal Sonic's point of view. We actually read how the robot started to feel emotions like fear and sympathy. The confusion at first, but later him acting on it without really understanding why he wanted to do what he did, is what I liked the most. Basically, he learned sympathy, and the way he smiled after he got Sonic out tells the reader that he liked the feeling of doing something good. It's a very important turn-over for Metal, I think. And one I really love too. Thank you for allowing me that insight on the robot, because I actually despised him through everything I've read on Sonic so far. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to point a couple of things out. What makes your story special, is that we get an insight on all of the characters by the way you switch point of views. I love that. However, when you do a lot of them in a couple of paragraphs, sometimes it is confusing. I advise you to at least only switch point of view when you start another paragraph and at least do a couple of them in that person's point of view. Also, some of the descriptions are very long. While I love the amount of detail you put into them, you tend to repeat yourself. Especially in the end, when you explain the troubling relationship between Tails and Sonic. Remember, sometimes less is more. Try to discuss one certain topic at the time in each paragraph to avoid repeating yourself. For example, use one or two paragraphs to explain Sonic's fear of losing Tails, why this is, and how it exactly feels. After that, maybe mention it one or two more times if you really feel the need but keep it to that. The reader will understand after that. Please know that the tips I put in here are only that; tips. I'm not trying to lay down the law here, I'm not a qualified writer. I just noticed these things and thought that maybe I should point them out so you could have another look at it. I'm only trying to help, it's up to you what you do with my opinion. Please continue writing! See ya! |
somas35 chapter 1 . 12/16/2015 I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed tails personality change in colors and onwards. well actually for me it started with sonic adventure with him getting more confidence and all that which was good! but then exactly what you described happened in games such as colors, lost world, even in the comics! (I kinda got a bit obsessed with those for a while) and it kinda reminds me if a teenager trying to prove himself (I'm not sure how much room I have to talk about this considering I'm one) so that hits home for me, so good job sir/mam and I hope you get more reviews in the future. (also sorry for the bad punctuation) |
