I read this recently, and only realised upon re-reading, that I hadn’t reviewed it. It is so heartbreaking, yet written so deftly that it gives me a mix of good and bad physical pains in my chest when I read it. But it’s beautiful, and makes so much sense. Thank you for writing it.

That's really really good ! I wish there were a second chapter with a happy ending but it could not be possible could it ? In any way characters would be hurt... Keep writing other stories ! ;)

I just realized I never reviewed this, and wanted to add my voice. This is probably my absolute favorite one shot on this site. It is one of the most realistic, working within the confines of canon, since canon J and M will never actually be together. It is hot. Yes, it's a little OOC, but still, to me, totally believable - i.e. given their crazy chemistry, I can see how the dam would break and they'd give in to temptation. The narrative and dialogue is top notch. Well done. Obviously I would like more, just because I love your writing, but I also kind of love that you left it here in its perfection. They can't have more than what they have and neither can we!

Wonderfully written, but much too sad. For me, it is simply just Jane and Maura and no other pairing. While I like happy endings, I do appreciate good writing.
