Vampireking40 chapter 4 . 5/18 Unless there is 21 broom one student won't be able to fly. As we already learned from the sorting there are 11 new snakes. |
alix33 chapter 15 . 11/12/2019 Did you mean "its now rightful owner"? Why does Dumbles refer to Harry by his first name but to Tracey and Hermione by their respective surnames? |
alix33 chapter 13 . 11/12/2019 What kind of lunch items are sold from the food trolley? Way to go, Janet Davis, at threatening those dreadful Dursleys if they dare to mistreat Harry. |
alix33 chapter 12 . 11/12/2019 Harry had better not ask those questions about his family, Snape nad their relationship to Snape, though. |
alix33 chapter 10 . 11/12/2019 Did you mean "take them long"? |
alix33 chapter 9 . 11/12/2019 That's kind of Harry, sending Hedwig off with chocolate frog cards for Astoria Greengrass. Yay! at Harry having found out who Nicolas Flamel is. |
alix33 chapter 8 . 11/12/2019 Dumbles, answer questions? Chance would be a fine thing! |
alix33 chapter 7 . 11/12/2019 I adore getting clothes as presents, whether it's for my birthday or Christmas. I hope Harry likes getting them for Christmas presents. t wouldn't have mattered if he didn't like receiving clothes as Christmas gifts, though, he still seems to have gotten clothes (even the invisibility cloak which was his dad's is a piece of clothing). |
alix33 chapter 5 . 11/12/2019 At least Harry now has some kind of leverage over the rest of his house mates, now that he's inadvertently been discovered to be a parselmouth. |
alix33 chapter 4 . 11/12/2019 I seem to be rereading this fic, so I hope I'm not making the exact same points as I did in my original reviews: Janet and Robert Davis, their daughter Tracey and Daphne Greengrass all sounds SO much more sensible than the Weasleys from canon. I love the prospect of Tracey, Daphne and Harry checking the magical records for any magical relatives he might have. I appreciate Daphne's distrust of Ron Weasley SO much. I appreciate her warning to Harry about Ron Weasley even more. Did McGonagall actually tell the ghosts to leave in so many words? Did you mean Harry "sat on the stool"? I loved the mental pic I just got of Harry trying a bit of everything. IMO the mint humbugs might be there because peppermint leaves and its essential oil (which was probably used in the mint humbugs) is good for digestion. Do the names of all the Bulstrode children start with M, then? Did you mean "dormitories"? Snape would have been "calling the roll", not "taking the role". EW! at how sexist Draco Malfoy is. "crybabies" should be one word. |
Teufel1987 chapter 13 . 7/23/2019 I don't really see why Neville would want to try and stop Ron and Hermione considering that they hadn't lost Gryffindor a boatload of points by being out of bed and involving him... |
Teufel1987 chapter 8 . 7/16/2019 Bit of a stretch to deduce that the headmaster expects them to come across the mirror again. Especially when he specifically said "IF you do indeed find it again you will know what to do." He didn't say "When". Silly children. |
Teufel1987 chapter 5 . 7/16/2019 A good chapter. Not to be cold-hearted, but Harry feeling the loss of his parents *this* deeply feels forced. He has never known them, only the idea of them. He doesn't really even know what they *look* like at this point to begin with. James and Lily are basically nebulous concepts to him, representing a series of "what-if" scenarios at the most, rather than actual people. It would be a different matter if he had spent enough time to know them as people... Canon here is a bit more realistic; canon Harry barely thought of the significance Halloween had on his life. |
Teufel1987 chapter 4 . 7/16/2019 Nice story so far. A person being shown preferential treatment because of who his father/family is isn't really all that mediaeval. It's something that is around even today. And considering that Harry lives in the United Kingdom, a country that happens to have an actual Royal Family, you'd think he would consider that before being Mr Judgy Judgemental. Also, the correct term would be "less RESPECTED" not "less respectful", unless you are talking about how some families are generally very rude compared to the Malfoys and not their social status. |
HelenPotter91 chapter 15 . 6/8/2019 Really enjoyed it...on to read the second one xox |
