You know, I really don’t like Jacob. Like, at all. And I’ll tell you exactly why

!spoilers ahead for chapter 18 and other earlier chapters!

So, Jacob is said to be Alex’s best friend, right? They grew up together and are very close. At the beginning of the camping trip, if I remember correctly, the very first thing Jacob does is abandon Alex to go romantically chase after Jessica, a girl who was established to be Alex’s main bully and who’s main goal in life seems to be to single-handedly make Alex’s life as hard as possible. In case you’re wondering, that is not something a friend does. You could argue that he didn’t know Jessica did this to Alex, to which I have two things to say.

1) if you have been someone’s best friend for about as long as you both can remember, wouldn’t you notice this girl frequently going out of her way to make your friend as miserable as possible? I sencierely doubt that he never noticed anything, or that Alex didn’t complain to him at least once about Jessica.

2) whether he noticed or not, doesn’t actually matter if you look at what happens later in the story.

Later in the story, Jessica stumbles upon Snowfire and runs back to camp to tell everybody god knows what about Alex and the dragon. Here, upon hearing his maybe-girlfriend of literally one day shit talking Alex, he immediately turns against her. He gets angry and offended to her after hearing one lie from this girl he hasn’t even been close to for a week, while he has supposedly been besties with Alex their entire lives, without even asking her if what was said about her was actually true or give her a chance to defend herself.

And now, chapter 18, we’re supposed to believe that Alex owes Jacob an apology for leaving suddenly, instead of him owing her an apology for being literally the worst. Which, by the way, he doesn’t even give! He isn’t even able to see the fault in his own actions. Or, he does, but just doesn’t care since Alex has now apologized for some perceived offense and so he is automatically als absolved of all wrongdoings.

By the way, he doesn’t even immediately accept her apology for this imaginary crime, instead he leaves her in suspense for a few moments before smiling at her. Not even saying he accepts her apology, just a smile.

In short, F*ck Jacob and everything he stands for.

To sum it up,i HATE the way u portray ur main character.
i mean,cmon,itz like u absolutely loathe ones supposed to her friends go off hanging out with the popular people,and the one called jacob even seems to prefer jennifer's company to hers,and they even supported jennifer when she gossiped to the others about the didnt even bother to help her when she was pushed into the mud.

Its simply not fair.

Honey this isnt rate T, i HATE read about sexual abuse and you just write about how a FATHER raped his DAUGHTER, ik that this happens to a lot of girls but I didn’t expect this, thanks to the rating I think that he just hit her (it’s also wrong, but not as sick as being raped) I check on your others fanfics and I saw how every one in your stories has bring raped and I’m sorry if is bcs of a personal experience, I usually don’t review if I’m not okay with something in the plot bcs I respect that its your ff and I chose to read it, but you really should have put a warning and a correct rating.

I haven't even started yet, but I saw the length and a review and I'm already hyPED and shooketh...

Okay, so I know this story is several years old, but I still had to comment because of a silly thought I had. Firstly, this fanfic is great! I love every bit of it! Secondly, I had a funny thought while reading this chapter. Alex mentioned, said, or thought something along the line of "if the twins did make it, then SHIELD will have taken care of it in minutes." I immediately began laughing because I had the sudden image of Darcy Lewis pop up in my head, that scene where she's complaining that "stupid SHIELD" wasn't answering any of her urgent phone calls. The reason I got so cracked up was because this little voice in my head went, "Stupid SHIELD isn't answering any of her calls because they're too busy keeping the Thorston twins from destroying the world." And then I laughed even harder imagining a scene where Thor meets the twins and they're like, "Hey, did you know we're named after you?" and Thor then becomes uncomfortable or annoyingly happy, haha. Sorry if that was a thought scattered all over the place, I just got really cracked up and had to share! XD

You're not a fan of cars? Gasp!

It was such a grand time reading this fanfic. It has earned a spot in my favorites and I can’t wait to check what else you have wrote. :)

Okay. It was a very good story though and even if my ideas are too dramatic for you it is OK. I am just glad it got finished with a great ending. I have read this story about three times now and I still love it. )

Sonofagun, I nearly threw my phone to the floor twice when I read the 'happy birthday' and the proposal. I wasn't expecting either of them. But it was a grand finale for sure!

Your story was one I could relate to, especially to our OC Alex at the beginning. That's why I was so happy to read each of your chapters as you updated the story. And now that the end has come, I think I'm gonna cry. Just a little. This was truly epic.

Nicely done :) So Hiccup finally popped the question and Alex said yes! I'm glad that Alex has a happy ending considering how much she has gone through.

Great story so far...and honestly I wouldn't have minded if SOMEBODY had died...ok I'm being too violent for a girl...buuuuut...I DON'T CARE!

Ya know what? Personally I would have done something REAAAALLY shocking. Great chapter, but honestly, if I were you, I would have made the chapter have a little something that would have made it shocking. Perhaps she could have a dragon-fight with her dad to finish it? Or perhaps Hiccup could have been caught as well and maybe he would have the stuff injected into him, he be controlled, ect ect ect... GREAT CHAPTER!

Please make the last bad guy talk, and say something like: "Oh, This?" He/She said in a calm voice, "this is your parting gift. Part of you here, part of you there, and part of you waaaay over there, staining the wall!"

Alex was utterly mortified at the thought that herself and Hiccup would soon be dead. She couldn't do anything as the huge, dragon like cannon-thing was aimed at Hiccup's chest. Hiccup was terrified, the look in his eyes told her everything. Alex was scared for him, and tears welled up in her eyes as (Bad Guy's Name) took out a match and lit it.

The flames were inches away from the cannon and Alex couldn't even kill Him/Her as a Night-Fury because they were strapped to a dragon-proof table. Hiccup had tears running down his face as the cannon fired.

Alex watched in utter horror, the world seeming to be in slow-motion. She couldn't even turn away because of the chains strapped tightly around her head. She opened her eyes and saw something she feared even more than Hiccup being blasted. Toothless.

Toothless had dived in at the last moment and taken the blast. Snowfire had liked Toothless like one of her closets friends, and truth be told, he was. Alex couldn't bear to see the state he was in. Snow fire's wrath soon happened, and (Bad Guy's Name) yelled constantly, before having His/Her throat ripped out and thrown across the room.

Hiccup had slumped down next Toothless and was bawling his eyes out over his body. His battered, bruised, and bleeding body. His pupils widened and he soon closed his eyes. Alex soon burrowed into his chest, her cascading tears a reminder that Hiccup wasn't the only one who was suffering. Snowfire wrapped her wings around them, as Hiccup and Alex embraced each other in a hug, Hiccup crying into Alex's chest.
