Yay so glad you finally updated and I really love this story and poor dean and buffy I really cant wait to see them bond and also hope they kill labolas he is such a dick. And when dean called him kilgrave I was laughing so hard cause I also was a huge fan of him too. Looking forward to the next chapter and dean is still so awesome and sexy:) I wouldn't mind being his naughty nurse:)

About this chapter: I loved it as always :) I love Dean/Buffy slow burn and how I feel they're in characters, cautious cause of everything what happened to them in the past and afraid to start something, especially now when there's this big threat of Lebolas. I love how even if Buffy is Slayer and stronger than Winchesters, she can still learn from them. Sam and Dean being only human, they still can handle themselves in the fight, even if they do lose and I loved how this chapter showed that :) I also feel like Spn showed us more and I love how you challenge Buffy to go through that world too :) Buffy felt down, believing she's gonna die but I love how both Winchesters let her know that future is never certain, Dean should know since he's been in apocalypse future himself and that didn't happen after they stopped Lucifer and Michael ;)
Anyway, I love how Buffy and Winchesters keep sharing more about their lives to understand each other better and I really like that it doesn't happen too fast, they've all been through so much that it'd take them so much time to share their life stories and they're not good at sharing but I like this slowly changes and they tell each other more and more and I'm always happy to read when Buffy gets to know more about them :)

I started to read this just a few hours ago... But it's already one the best SPN crossover fics I've ever read.

I actually wanted to write a review after I read all 12 chapters, but I couldn't help but mention one thing: the Winchesters collecting angel blades.

I'm pretty sure Sam and Dean started to collect them after the civil war in season 9. Sure, another civil war happened in season 6 too, but there weren't many angels on Earth back then. Most of the fight happened in Heaven. I'm not sure how Sam and Dean could collect as many angel blades as Sam implies at the first part of this chapter. I'm willing to ignore this tiny detail though.

I guess I'll continue to write the *tiny* things that bothered me. (I haven't even finished CH6 yet, so I don't know how the story goes yet.)

When they first discovered the traces of a strange demon, why didn't they think of Abaddon? She was a Knight of Hell: powerful, attracted special attention from the archangels (according to Henry), and most importantly, she was not killed by the knife. But not even a thought about her. I don't know if you wrote her out of the story completely. If so, that's okay. But it also kind of implies the Mark of Cain storyline won't happen. That's a shame, since it's one of my favorite storylines ever.

And, as far as the story has been led so far, the Trials won't happen. Did the other half of the tablet has the recipe? Unlikely, since they already know about the trials. Kevin still not finding anything looks suspicious, but I guess you pushed it aside for the moment for an original storyline.

From the looks of it, it will be awesome. I'm always a fan of original content from authors when it comes to the lore, and it's amazing that you did research and did the groundwork a few chapters ago without revealing everything at the first chance.

While I found some of the plot choices unfortunate, the new stuff is actually great as well. Your characterizations have been spot on. It's so easy to exaggerate certain characteristics of everybody in a Buffy/SPN crossover, but you did a REALLY good job with everyone. I especially loved your portrayal of Cas, because even SPN-only authors usually don't get him right. Naomi & Castiel twist in the previous chapter was brilliant: I expected such a scene, since you did say you were going to follow S8's storyline to a degree and she was the one who got him out of the Purgatory, so she had to be in this. But her interest in Buffy... It's intriguing, since her primary focus seems to be on this new apocalypse and Buffy, especially since her sole focus was to get the Angel tablet before Crowley at this point in canon.

You mentioned a few times that Dean's edginess was because of his time in Purgatory: which is good. You still keep that in mind that remind people of Dean's state of mind without beating us with this info. I'm really liking Dean's POV. But, I have a very SMALL issue: Dean and his understanding of monsters. Dean has always been more black and white than Sam, but that really changed when he was in Purgatory. He is not going to feel sorry for every monster out there, but he's not going to assume that every supernatural being (except Castiel) is monster either. No mention of Benny is not strange at this point, since Dean decided not to talk to him in order to have a better relationship with Sam, but he still values Benny and recognizes him as a 'brother' at this point.

BUT. For every little thing I felt off about him, there are dozens of stuff I actually found great. His inner conflict about his friendship with Castiel, assuming that Buffy might be some kind of 'Amazon' (this was genius!), not being totally in sync with Sam... Those (and many more) are what makes the story great.

Sam... Feels true to his character, but knowing what I know about S8 season finale and S9, I feel like he doesn't really feel guilty for not looking for Dean (which I might be wrong about). Once again, I haven't read the whole story yet. This might change. But it's also cool if it doesn't. As much as I liked the confession scene in *Sacrifice*, I'm up for a different character development, especially since your style doesn't contradict canon that much.

Buffy... I have no complaints about her. She has been amazing so far. I am not as obsessed and knowledgeable about Buffy as I am about SPN, but I was always with her and it didn't feel OOC.

On another note, I liked the fact that you went with the alternate universe explanation. It's the most effective way, and fits in SPN in an interesting way considering the storyline SPN has in the last two seasons.

I hope I didn't sound too negative. My issues were very minor, and I'm always worse at pointing out what I really like. I really, really like this. I don't know if you abandoned this or not, since you haven't updated in a while, but I'm not that pessimistic. I've seen fics with no updates for more than 3 years getting updated.

I hope you continue with this story, since I was hooked already with the first chapter. It's already one of the best stories I've read in the last year. I plan to write another review, but after I finish all published chapters (or see sth I strongly feel like I should mention, such as angel blades being used by Sam and Dean in S8).

I'm really excited about the new demon you're going to introduce, so I'm going to go back to CH6 now.

Ahhh I need so much more! This is so freaking good please update I honestly am dying!

This is like my favorite story right now! From my POV this is the most realistic SPN/BTVS crossover I've read and I really hope to see more of it. I like the relationship forming between Buffy and Dean. I also enjoy the new mysterious mega powerful demon Laborlas. I have a theory about what he is and how he's connected to both universes. I think Laborlas is a host for one of the Old Ones from Buffy's universe. Somehow one of them crossed over and decide to use Laborlas as a vessel. Since he was one of the first demons in the SPN verse he was the perfect and strongest vessel for the Old One to use. It's sort of a symbiotic relationship between the two. That would make him a excellent villain for both Buffy and the Winchesters because in a way he's from both worlds.

Well I liked the chapter and I hace to disgree about sam/buffy shipping they really would not work as a couple and also I wasn't a fan of sike/buffy or angel/buffy that was the main problem I had with that show were those ships but buffy/dean just fit together and dean could be sweet at times he is not always a hard ass. I think he could be a little romantic but not too mushy. And poor buffy still mad at her for turning down dean again. I mean yes I understand why but still dean sex is way better then what she had in her past just saying. That labolas dude was cool and I liked the croaton story. So update soon cause we need more dean/buffy goodness. Also was nice to have dean save buffy and cause dean is a strong capable hunter and he is so awesome.

Yay finally the dean/buffy sex:) and yeah poor buffy but I have to say that i don't feel bad for cas. Just like in season 8 I think it was cas fault for not telling dean the truth. And no destiel ship for me cause eww. But I do like thier friendship. And yes dean/buffy both needed that giid old loving. Lucky buffy:) I do like other dean/buffy fics but this is one of my favorites
