DancingInTheDark85 chapter 1 . 12/6/2017
I’m glad they ended up together, but sad that it took so long. Joss has more self restraint than I would have!
Imagination-On-The-Loose chapter 1 . 3/18/2017
What a well done story! I love how balanced the emotional is with the movement of the story. Your writing is so unique and I love it. I hope you continue and finish some of your other POI works :)
just drifting chapter 1 . 5/23/2016
This was beautiful. Painful and raw but so honest and heartfelt. It's a different direction to most of the Joss/John stories I've read, but it makes perfect sense for Joss to be so changed by the shooting, for it to take them so long to finally reach that inevitability, and you wrote it so well.
ShadowedB chapter 1 . 12/15/2015
Simply heart warming and making me sad all over for the way things actually ended between them in the series. Excellently penned. Added to favourites.
literaturechick chapter 1 . 11/27/2015
Beautiful. Deeply emotional.
Thanks.
Jhill88 chapter 1 . 11/27/2015
I absolutely love this. To show not only their journey to each other after Joss was shot, but in such a different way then I've read before... just amazed me. I love the slow burn watching their relationship grow as Joss fights but John does what he does best stay strong and doesn't push. Well ok John did push but it was subtle and silent since from the beginning he knew what he wanted. Just everything about this is fantastic.
nicdvidmaker chapter 1 . 11/23/2015
The writing was parallel to the slow burn of John and Joss's budding relationship. I felt their tension; their cautiousness and frustration as I read. Well written! I really enjoyed.

I really, liked liked your fic. It is extraordinary this is a very original way to bring our John and our Joss together. I have read it 7 times for not to miss any detail. I like the John and Joss's slow evolution of the combination which led to their meeting. I like the construction by paragraph that feel the time passing.

I like the idea that Joss goes in her family for her recovery and that John has left it to the space.

John is a perfect man. He love Joss passionately but he knows that she needs time. He follows her until her full return to Joss that he loves. He is jealous of men with whom she go out but not made her jealous scene.

When he is certain that she is the Joss that he loves, he set up an effective strategy to conquer her without rushing. The John 's scene in the Joss bed was great (their first night together). They did not speak and John resists make her love.

From that night, they begin to talk about their feelings. The scene on the wrong disease John is very funny (Joss will not have dates with other men)

The scene of the zoo mark the first steps towards Joss to John. The one with Taylor is hilarious and marks the full Joss's acceptance.

The last scenes are perfect. Especially the last one with the same words as the first scene. And of course, two-way questions are delicious.

Joss, John idolize you. Your hesitation annoys me a little bit. Thousands of women would like to be loved by John.

Thank you to continue to live our Careese.
Bklyngrl chapter 1 . 11/19/2015
Bumpy is right. This was kind of a rough ride. I felt for John, he wanted them back so badly. I felt for Joss as well. She cheated death and had to find herself again. I can see her frustration and could feel it too ("she knew he wouldn't disappear out of her life. He was attracted to her presence like a powerful magnet. Neither of them would get out of this situation unscathed, and that fact added to her frustrations with herself.")

As always, John is right there, telling her in his own way what she knew all along. It was so rewarding to see them come together, the way it's supposed to be. Thank you for allowing us to tag along on their sometimes heart wrenching but beautiful journey.
odalys-ortiz chapter 1 . 11/19/2015
This was a great showing of their journey after the shooting. It wasn't easy but in the end, they managed to get together and that's something that I wish would have been reflected in the show. Thank you:D
Guest chapter 1 . 11/18/2015
Carefully etched and wonderfully executed. Thnx for the read. Really enjoyed it.
PiscesChikk chapter 1 . 11/18/2015
I took my time reading this. And I smiled at each segment. I love what you've done with this. It's such a deep and rich and intensely beautiful glimpse into them and their journey toward each other. I was totally pulled in and this was just perfect. Just as I expected. Thanks for the shout out , but this was all you. :)
Treehouse31 chapter 1 . 11/18/2015
That was amazing! This is an instant classic.

I like that Joss struggled a bit after being shot, and that she fought against John's cryptic manner of communicating. Loved the garden motif you wove so seamlessly throughout the story. Some relationships - like Joss and John's in your story - need to be replanted (or reseeded) in new soil and cared for properly before ripening into something that is healthy for all parties involved.

Best lines for me: "Every change in their lives meant that Joss would need to take time to et acclimated or else she would feel suffocated."
"...but he also knew that he came off intense, an all consuming force that blazed anything in his path..."
"He couldn't give up who he was and he would never want her to give up who she was. It was what made them work so well."

Wonderful. Thank you for taking the time!
